Bellyvers; Health on Wheels
Explain your idea in details:
What started as an unexpected step, has led us to a completely different destination. We are a group of five school students from Ahlcon International School, and Bellyvers; Health on Wheels is a food truck initiative which is fuelled by determination and the aim to reach various people and regions to bring forward the idea of healthy and nutritious food. As youngsters, we stand on a platform where we can voice our concerns and reach a larger mass. At school level, we have drawn the attention of students from class IX-XII and we hope to reach throughout the school. With this competition, we wish to have an opportunity to reach beyond the gates of schools and inspire and instill hope within each human being to dream, aim and start taking up action towards the betterment of the society. We have done research on various regions and our target since the start have been the hilly areas where to be honest, Maggie is found on every turn of the way. Nutrition and ones wellbeing are the driving forces of our action plan. We aim to establish a foundation by procuring a food truck and reaching out to people with food that is filled not only with a healthy twist to it but also love, hope and belief.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
We started our work with two SDG's in mind, SDG No. 2 and SDG No. 3 i.e. 'Zero Hunger' and 'Good Health and Well Being'. Since the start, the SDG's have been the base of our action plan. Nutrition is what lacks in today's time, people lean towards junk food but we hope to bring a healthy twist to it. We plan to target the younger audience i.e. the children and the youngsters, who carry forward the ripples of goodness one creates, we wish that our aim for spreading the message of nutritious food passes on to the next generation and so on. Success is achieved when we work hard for a cause with determination in our hearts, and we will continue to work and do better to the best of our abilities.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We are aiming towards opening our Food Truck around School and college areas, initially from Mayur Vihar, Phase 1 since it is around our schools vicinity and there are other schools around. The area also has a bustling market place, Acharya Niketan. We are working under the guidance of Ms. Chetna Sabarwal, Ms. Nicheta Bhatnagar and Ms. Smita Chamoli who as our teachers have been supporting us throughout. We aim to spread our message using social media platforms, proper marketing strategies and the most essential of all, with team spirit. Our financing sources shall be through the process of funding. Further details regarding collaborators, promoters and marketing strategies have been mentioned in the video shared below.
