Hard Plastic Recyclation (HPR) - India
Explain your idea in details:
As the world is producing much plastic waste than expectation, even after more use of engineering tools we don't able to manage in best way or recycled it. So there is concept to have a ATM type prototype receiving end vending machine to accept hard plastic waste of the city. To solve the problem of plastic waste management, we want to install a reverse vending machine in places like airport, railway station and other busiest market place. People only have to place their plastic bottles waste in that and in return they will get vouchers which can be redeemed by using e-commerce apps like paytm, flipkart etc. We motivate them to do for the cause of nature and social work by donating voucher for the child education and healthcare. Because I don't think voucher of one bottle will be valued by anyone.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
It will fully change the situation of plastic waste problems as we are going to avail the facility to customer like plug and play. And also we are offering some amount of money to them in form of points. Which directly motivate them do that. Project main theme is to collect more and more plastic bottles and cans waste from surrounding and segregate it in two category. First one is "one time used" And other is "multiple time used ". Our planet is to reuse the one time used bottles and cans and crush the multiple time used bottles to recycle it. With the reuse of one time used bottles we are going to control the production of bottles. As if there's less production of plastics bottles means there's less bottles in surroundings which directly help the environment to keep clean And safe. And also save lots of resources.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
As this project is directly related to the maintenance and best use of plastic waste of city. So that would be better if we able to made some contract with municipal corporations. Otherwise we, as a start up, also can maintain it by giving 60% of profit to the customer from their plastic waste material. To sustain it requires some resources : 1. Will have to form a massive technical volunteers chain of engineering student. Who will take care of RVM. In return we will teach them about IoT and major microcontroller. With certification. 2. To train volunteers, will have to form a technical workshop and manage a number of good microcontroller teacher.
