Travel for impact's objective is to empower youth and communities in rural areas address their challenges, exchange ideas and opportunities with the tourists who will be traveling to Zanzibar - Tanzania. This will help the Community tackle challenges by exploring what other Countries are facing, for a sustainable future. The activities to be carried out by travel for impact will include fundraising to support social projects, attaching volunteers (local and international) in social projects such as schools, who will be teaching skills to youths and Women so that they can transform their livelihood. There will be learning opportunities such as online platforms, workshops, competitions, and International forums where by youth will discuss challenges and opportunities World wide in different aspects while encouraging inter cultural activities at the same time. Travel for impact will use different innovative approaches in making the programs in a fun way by; having talent shows, kids bonanzas, competitions and sharing experience which the tourists have gained during their Volunteering period.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The program will help to address challenges in education and livelihood by empowering both women and youths (students, graduates) through giving them skills that will help them to become self-reliant create jobs for themselves and finally able to support their livelihood. Also travel for impact will help to change the mindset of both locals and foreigners on how better to use resources when they travel abroad by supporting others to achieve their dreams and live their potentials. As the sustainable development goals are Worldwide taking action for sustainable future, travel for impact expects sustainable tourism will bring about drastic changes in terms of education, health, livelihood and more. As the 2030 agenda for quality education is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Therefore; travel for impact will have a program for sharing scholarship opportunities, competition, and the use of innovative approaches for teaching the disabled as the contribution for quality education. Success will be evaluated by interviewing the beneficiaries, doing focus group discussion and collecting feedback to improve the programs.

Travel for impact is a cost effective program since the program team can use resources effectively to attract other tourism related organization to collaborate using financial and non-financial resources such as volunteers both locally and internationally. Travel for impact financial sources will depend on the programs that will be implemented and governmental support. Travel for impact will partner with travel and tours Companies and Non profitable Organization with different programs. As travel for impact is a social initiative, its value preposition based on Volunteers from different Countries around the World. The sustainability of the program will be ensured by establishing vibrant management that will ensure availability of financial resources through using innovative ways to raise funds through professional fundraisers.
Hanifa Salim Shaaban is a young female and passionate about the well-being of her community she is living, aged 27 years. Hanifa has been exposed to the world of change markers in 2018 when she joined a YALI Regional Leadership Training at Nairobi, a president Obama Initiative to train young people and transform the generation of leaders in Africa. While at Nairobi, she learns design thinking as a best way of solving community challenges and spearheading transformations. Through this idea of Travel for Impact, Hanifa believes that, people are travelling the world, enjoying and making a lot of fun, while travelling the world they can still give hope to the needy, embrace human connection and leave a legacy. Her ideas of travelling for impact is aiming at combining adventure with social impacts through providing knowledge, skills and transform the livelihood while learning language culture from one another. Having business and marketing degree, Hanifa has been working with young people in Zanzibar to help realize and utilize their potentials, where she is currently volunteering as a Membership Coordinator at Pamoja Youth Initiative.
