AMANI KIDS UNIVERSITY
Explain your idea in details:
Amani Kids University is an online university of kids which enables young students from as early as preschoolers to have a wide choice of subjects to learn that interests their minds. the university aims to help develop and nurture careers at an early age and help young students learn by interest instead of obligation. the university works by transforming big knowledge subjects into small courses and programs that match young learners interests in areas not usually taught in formal schools. these subjects are then offered to kids in smaller packages for their ease of understanding yet quality enough to develop their interest in selecting career courses. courses offered include photography, zoology, modelling, dancing, acting etc. the university will also include formal subjects like languages, sciences, mathematics, geography etc. the mode of learning will include various activities including live tutorials, written work, reports etc just like a junior university
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
the kids university intends to enable all students, especially African students to have equal opportunities to career development at an early age. Moreover, it intends to help give access to quality education in terms of subjects that most African students would never get a chance to learn because of unavailability of teachers trained in that area in their countries. the university will help to break barriers of learning not just for African students but for the whole world of young learners. Now students in Australia can learn from teachers in Africa and thereby promoting a global village culture.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
the students will be offered subjects via monthly subscription. the university will offer some courses for free to help students who are very poor to at least access basic education. however, specialized courses and subjects will be paid for via subscription which will be very low as small as $20 a month for specialised courses. the business will work with departments of education from different countries where it will be operating in order to get licensing to operate. it will also collaborate with other colleges and specialists in order to develop subject syllabuses for different age groups in different subjects . the business needs funding to help it start operations. it has already started producing its own subject syllabuses for courses and subjects on which it has found collaborating experts. the whole businesses will $50 000 to be able to operate at near full capacity offering at least over 100 courses every month to different age groups
