Partnership in the sense that, we(the citizens) are ready to champion the struggle for the change we seek. Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Over 80% of Public Institutions in Nigeria is what I describe as an eye sore. Dilapidated, I dare not talk about such things as learning facilities. Unemployment still poses a serious threat to the livelihood of youths in the society. The renovation of these Public institutions will effect a change both in the physical structures and will to a very large extent; 1) cause the over 10.5million out-of-school children feel the fun of learning with their peers again. 2) the ambiance for learning must have been achieved since the environment is conducieve. 3) teachers would feel the need to teach. Pupils/Students will feel the need to learn. 4) standard; new approaches must have been adopted to ensure discipline in Public schools and no longer business as usual, etc. In terms of Innovation, Industry and Infrastructure, Nigeria hasn't gotten there yet. Around the world, practically everything one does revolves about Technology. If Nigeria is to bridge the digital divide, then Nigerians and the Nigerian government have a role to play. Categorically; 1) By the establishment and provision of free computer training centres and free skill acquisition academies in all state of the federation, Nigeria must have ushered in a new generation of computer enthusiates and self relient youths. 2) Investment in Infrastructure, Innovation and Industry are crucial to foster the economic growth and development of Nigeria and her people. - The adoption of newer renewable energy solutions, business grant schemes and other progress can be measured by the lasting solutions these areas will provide to economic and environmental challenges.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
By Sept. 10, 2020, it is expected that FOPSIN must have crossed the 60,000,000 members thresh hold and counting. Also, FOPSIN will start out with its first community project themed "PROJECT ABLE GOD". This project is one that will ensure the construction of international standard schools and the refurbishing of current Public primary/secondary schools to modern ones in all 36 States of the Federation plus the FCT, with educationally equipped facilities for learning beginning with Cross River State. FOPSIN is just a platform. Its live-wire is her members. Membership is open to all selfless Nigerians beyond religion and ethnic lines, but citizens who desire to effect a change. ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE In order to achieve timely execution of projects, at the top is the Board of Directors who works closely with the Fundraising Committee, Budget/Finance Committee, Nominating/Project Committee, etc., who will in turn report directly to the Chief Executive Officer in person of myself. Below this structure is the National Cordinator who is also the Chief Operation Officer. He approves the decisions of State Conveners, Project Supervisors, PR Assistants, Regional Coordinators, Financial Officers etc. OPERATIONAL STRATEGY 1) Funds: Are generated within members unobligatorily or through gift and cash donations from care givers to finance community projects. 2) Channels: this include but not limited to social media and web page. Also, the first online financial presence will be launched on a scheduled date. This online financial status is synchronized to reflect minutes cash deposits everyday - a proof of FOPSIN sincerity of purpose. We are ready to employ all modern financial technologies(fintech) to attain sustainability and curb excesses. KEY PARTNERSHIPS FOPSIN seeks the support of; a) the government b) banks c) telecommunication networks d) media houses e) other NGO's etc.
Normally I shy away from proving myself. I signup for Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship because I want to effect a change. I have tested failure many times. Also, I've made alot of mistakes but I'm not backing down. I currently manage a business outfit in a remote area here in Nigeria; a business I started in 2016 and still thriving. Actually this is my first outing on a world stage. Ndon Ekemmini is an agent of change for a better Nigeria. He is 20 and the First child of Mr & Mrs Joshua Ndon from Itu in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. My greatest achievement is being me.
