Explain your idea in details:
In Morocco in the rural areas, only 30% of the population is less than 5 km from a providing health care facility, 59% live between 5 and 10 km, and 11% more than 8 km (MoH 2010). So, the idea that I want to implement is a virtual doctor that can give diagnostics to people living in rural areas that have no medical access in the form of a cabin. the project is based on the technology of artificial intelligence in the form of a software that listens to the description of the patients and tries to give a diagnostic to there case which will lead to a medical prescription this is of course in the normal case where the state of the patient can be simply healed, and in the case of complicated diagnostic the software give the possibility of calling doctors to have a live conversation with the patient for further diagnostics or to call the closest hospital to transport the patient for a physical examination.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
By applying the idea of Doctor box in a large scale hundred of thousands of people in rural area not only in morocco but all over the world can benefit from the medical diagnostics in time and can help also people with dangerous diseases to discover there illness, saving them from walking for Kilometres in the search of the closest medical centre. also, it will benefit the children that die in hundred every year by the lack of medical access.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The idea is to be implemented in rural areas in the beginning in fes province, and in the future, it will cover all the rural area in Morocco that have hard medical access and lack of closeby hospitals, especially in atlas mountains. the project will be under the brand name "Doctor BOX" targeting government as their major customer segments and hospitals. It will be geared by youth team organized in 4 departments. The software department that will ensure the update and the functionality of the system, the medical department that will provide the software with proper diagnostics for every case, The production department that will take care of the production of the product, Finally, the customer care and human resource department will monitor, evaluate and focus on the idea success. To run this, we shall use our youth savings, try to have a loan from the chamber of commerce and industry fes and also lobby for support from the appropriate government and non-government institution (health care) that will aid us with support (marketing, advertisement and reaching out our customers) to ensure constant and sustainable running. The mode of money transfers will be both cash and e-money.
