Taking the idea of E-Waste management to the e-commerce platform
Explain your idea in details:
E-Waste collection center and an app should be developed which will feature the options to select what type of e-waste is the customer want to sold, whether it is in working or nonworking condition and in the final cart he/she will see the total valuation of all e-waste he/she wants to sold and then they have to choose an electronic item from the suggested items or can also choose other electronic items which are not suggested. If the item selected is having more cost than the total valuation then the customer has to pay the remaining amount after deduction of money from total valuation and if the item is having low cost than valuation then the remaining amount will remain in the account. It is not compulsory to buy an electronic item immediately. He/she can buy an item afterwards as per their comfort and the money will remain in the e-account.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
E-Waste should not be dumped in an open environment or should not be kept open to others as it may harm the people due to the properties of some metals used in the circuitry. When electronics end up in landfills, toxics like lead, mercury, and cadmium leach into the soil and water. The electronic waste problem is huge: More than 20 million tons of e-waste are produced every year. Developing application and website will increase the reach to the people. Home delivery of newly purchased electronic items and the same delivery boy will take up the e-waste from the door steps. If the company gets a good support it will spread in the whole country in no more than 3 years.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We are looking for the financier but we believe that we will get them soon. We are planning to collaborate with the government and also with the environment activists to increase the reach and develop a faith in the minds of people.
