Explain your idea in details:
My main objective is to make sure that females are given a fair opportunity to get the same pay and job as the male species, that they are able to express themselves freely without fear of criticism. I would like to approach this idea by starting a partition online and getting people to sign up online and in person so that it can gain recognition.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
My first target is to get people to sign my partition, than I'll get the idea trending on social media so it can gain awareness because most people do not believe that gender inequality is a real issue. It's seen as a joke whereas people are actually suffering because of it.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
In order to get funding I will pitch my idea to different businesses and submit my video onto YouTube to gain some awareness and funding through this. I hope this will lead to gender equality becoming an everyday lifestyle.I want females to feel empowered and motivated.
My name is Oluchi Ugo and I'm 17 years of age. I am a black female that lives in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, and I'm half Nigerian and half Xhosa. The reason I strive for gender equality is because I've been talked down to all my life just because of my gender, at one point I was reprimanded for behaving in a manner that was seen as unladylike. This made me wonder how many women out there encounter worse than I did.I want to show the world that regardless of our gender we all have the capacity to be successful and conquer the world. The qualities that will contribute to this will be my determination and compassion on this issue, I want to live in a world where females are not degraded and instead we are acknowledged for our hard work.
