Many plastic bags and packaging are thrown into the wild, clogging the gutters and cluttering the rivers. Our company will, in the long run, clean up our cities, create jobs and bring to market new products that are clean, attractive, practical and affordable. Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Several problems will be solved by this project, including: - The nuisance of non-degradable plastics - The lack of employment among less qualified young people and women - The dearness of ordinary pavers to placed in the yard - The lack of good local products at average prices (baskets, bags ...).
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Our activities will take place in Bujumbura and almost all families will use one or more of the products we put on the market. Bujumbura is the economic capital of Burundi. It had a population of 1,300,000, in 2018. Revenue Model: Our company will earn money by; - The sale of our various products at the local level - The export of our products abroad Marketing Strategy and sustainability: Among our strategies we seek to establish a personal relationship with our audience and then talk about 'Business'. We start by talking and focusing on our product. Then we realize our promotion at very low costs.
I'm 34 years old and I live in Burundi/Africa. In 2015, I and my team were awarded top 10 honors in the competition organized by UnHate Foundation and UNAI to fight intolerance, (https://academicimpact.un.org/content/unmaking-hate-young- people-win-% E2% 82% AC20000-fight-intolerance-united-colors-benetton-Unhate). In 2011, I was awarded the best prize in the competition of CTA / NEPAD For the category "Young / Women, ICT and Entrepreneurship", (http://ardyis.cta.int/en/news/other-news/item/126-cta -nepad-contest-winners.html). Business Purpose: My motivation is to see African youth become independent. I have a strong desire to create jobs and to allow young people to work and others to be inspired by my model so that they can create their own jobs as well.
