Explain your idea in details:
Like its name, PANACEA is the solution of all health-related problems. How? Then the answer is four letter word YOGA. Yoga was developed by the Indus valley civilization in northern India over 5,000 years ago. It is all about harmonizing the body with the mind and breath through the means of various breathing exercises, yoga poses and meditation. Panacea focuses on working class people who always complain of having blood pressure, chronic pains, anxiety and other ailments. Yoga has proven to be the practical solution for curing these ailments. But they dont have time to inculcate yoga in their day-to-day life as a result they neglect their health issues in making money. Therefore panacea provides the services to them at their work place itself by collaborating with various companies and institutes. This way they dont have to disrupt their plans and they can take care of their health during their break time by doing yoga and living the benefits of yoga. To make this project more innovative, PANACEA introduces various art works, which are known to only fewer people in the world, full of colors. There is no denying the link between colors and our emotions, it can soothe our mind, give new ideas, changes actions and causes reactions. Here, people can enjoy gazing these arts with a cup of tea and can even buy for their homes. Next part is Games. PANACEA introduces fun games to them, which not only divert their mind from stressful work but also give them peace and help them to bring out their inner child. Nowadays, people are interacting less and remain cocoon in their shells. This whole idea will help them to come out from their shell, interact more, making friends and enjoying their life to the fullest.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
PANACEA focusses on two Goals: Good health and wellbeing, Decent work and economic growth. Yoga can help people in attaining a sense of composure and acceptance with themselves, with their life and with those around them. It takes them to different level of consciousness and understanding, where they gain perspective and peace. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, one in every five adults in U.S. experience some form of mental illness each year. Anxiety and depression disorders are very common but it has been scientifically proven that yoga can help in reducing stress and anxiety by reducing the level of stress hormone cortisol. Yoga promotes relaxation, self-acceptance and quality of life. Yoga also enhances flexibility, endurance as well as muscle tone, which is one of the popular demands among millennials in their vocabulary of fitness. There are many types of yoga like Yoga Nidra- helps in cooling down your body and conserving this energy by relaxing the entire system, Face Yoga- to make more likable and attractive and Iyengar Yoga- focusses on correct alignment of the body and very precise moves. It is also economical and cost effective. It increases the work efficiency of people therefore giving better services at their workplaces. Introduction of arts not only gives joy to these working-class people, but it will also give more employment to the traditional artisans, which has somehow been lost in this fast pacing world. PANACEA can become a medium in restoring these arts for the future generation to see. This altogether will help in the increment of economic growth.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
PANACEA provides yoga sessions, traditional handicrafts and games to the corporate people to take care of their health which is deteriorating in their race to make millions. All other companies giving yoga session enables them to come to their studios due to which many corporates do not take these sessions since it would alter their plans working 50-60 hours a week. But PANACEA providing them with these services at their workplace itself by collaborating with their employers i.e. corporate companies. WorkSpace would be provided by benefactor companies. Figures are evaluated for a company A whose 100 employees are availing the services of PANACEA The cost price is estimated to be $33,820-$42,150 which include the cost of yoga instructor ( with wages $20-$25 per hour*6 hours*261 working days), handicrafts (excluding transportation charges), yoga mat and games. The revenue would be around $1,312,500-$1,313,775 which includes yoga fees ($50 per hour per employee* 216 working days) and S.P. of handicrafts. If 7% of revenue is taken for marketing, then it will make up a profit of approximately $1,169,305. Above figures are estimated annually. The finance can be sourced with the help of an angel investor or investing in exchange of stocks. The benefactor company will be benefitted by the better services done by its employee as he/she is happier in life and with life. I firmly believe that with absolute planning, great management and correct about of hard work, this could be a profitable and successful venture.
