Explain your project in details:

There has been a great negative impact on young Nigerians that pass through inadequately equipped or non- equipped technical colleges. This will not allow these wards to garner technical and vocational value and skills expected to be delivered to them to become emerging leaders, potential entrepreneurs and business decision makers in this 21st century. At the moment, young school leavers do not have adequate technical skill set to start up their own jobs in the midst of huge unemployment situation in Nigeria. The too much emphasis on University education in Nigeria has always reduced the economic opportunities of those who are more work oriented than academics. Not everybody needs a University education. Who that would employ them if everybody becomes a University graduate? The nations poverty level has increased to about 70% that many Nigerians now live on less than one-dollar a day. As earlier on stated, higher institutions in Nigeria lack the tools and machines to train students to acquire the skills needed by employers of labor. The challenges of vocational and technical education are quite enormous. The overall objective and the solution embedded in project ''Save Nigeria Technical Colleges is to equip and provide potential entrepreneurs and business owners, employers of labor by consciously partnering with local and international TVET institutions to provide technical tools and practical equipment for Nigerian Technical Colleges for robust knowledge transfer at their early stage. This project intends to support the institution in delivering best in class training to the students on technical and vocational skills such as Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Block laying and Bricklaying, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Pipe Fittings, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Garment making and Tailoring, Shoe Making, Photography and Video Conferencing and Computer Appreciation

Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

The development of any nation hinges on the socials and economic contributions of her citizens Education, vocational and technical training play a major role at promoting community and national development. Vocational and technical education promotes and facilitates the acquisition of applied skills and basic scientific knowledge. It is planned programme of course and learning experiences that begin with the exploration of career options, supports basic academic and life skills and enables the achievement of high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry and continuing education. Highlighted below are some of the impact of technical education on sustainable development. (a) Creation of employment opportunities: The issue of unemployment will remain a problem to Nigeria and global family at large for many years if people are not trained/educated on how to be self-employed. Technical education is the only sure tool of fighting the rate of unemployment in the country. This can be achieved through educating the people on how to use their brain, body and hands to engage themselves in different productive activities to earn good money and live fulfilled life. (b) Enhancing peoples standard of living/poverty reduction: Technical education improves people lives and living standard through training the youths in useful skills, engaging them in productive works, generation of income and reduction of security votes by the government, creation of employment opportunities thereby increasing the economic and social standards of the citizens. (c) Nations self-independence: If the concept of technical education is properly employed with all its relevance benefits in no distant time Nigeria as a nation will not only be independent economically and technologically but will also be among the leading country in ICT and export of goods and services in the world and several ugly and embarrassing situations will be addressed

Sustainability and future plans

My project is focusing majorly on partnering with existing Government Technical Colleges in Nigeria to improve the quality of Vocational Education and Training being delivered to the students. This project will not only help in improving the quality of education in Nigeria Government Technical Colleges, it will also help in providing the students with all the relevant practical tools and equipment which will help boost their practical skill to deliver first hand practical solutions. This project kicked off with a visit to Government Technical College Ikole Ekiti last year June and later in November when we visited Government Technical College Osogbo Osun State, where I and my team sensitized the students on the importance of technical education to nations building. Some basic electrical and electronics tools were donated to these colleges in order to help equip the students with the right practical skills. In my quest to extend this training and awareness program to affect the nations government technical colleges, I am currently setting up an NGO which will focus on improving Technical, Vocational Training and Education in Nigeria. This will definitely give a bigger platform to promote this project I and my team intend using this platform in seeking partnership and sponsorship from local and international institutions, individuals, volunteers and sponsors who are ready to invest in leaders of tomorrow

Education is key to every nation's development and no geographical entity survives solely on government input. This project "Save Nigeria Technical Colleges", seeks to help re-ignite our TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions. The essence and impact of TVET institutions are enormous to our country, Nigeria.

My father is a retired Technical Drawing teacher of a Government Technical College, and I would never forget how visiting his drawing studio, and other department's workshops especially Electrical and Fabrication are always inspiring. The student's works were exceptional and professional. The students of their Electrical department always transit seamlessly to Professional Electrical workers in various industries. Let me not talk about their Art Studio, they need a museum.

These institutions need to be equipped and exposed through strategic local and international partnerships, and that is what Mr. Oluwatosin Adeosun, a change agent has committed his life to. Let support him.

Keep voting!!!. Lets Save Nigerian Technical Colleges!!!
God bless Nigeria!!!

"Chase Down your Passion like it's the last bus of the Night"

I have hitherto seen this quote being fulfilled in the life of Mr Adeosun Oluwatosin Isaac.

I have never met a man so passionate about reviving the cankered state of Technical Education in Nigeria, like the man, Isaac!

What more can we say about a man that has single handedly, on his own bills, contributed immensely to the growth of more than 5 Technical Colleges in Nigeria till date with more to follow.

What can be the driving force to all these influences on Technical Education, if not an "Unrivalled Passion".

I again urge you all to support this Lad in achieving his long termed dream.

I have no doubt , he will be a huge Success!!!

Known this man for quite an age now and he has been quite a meaningful source of encouragement, advice and what have you! A humanitarian individual who often gets obsessed with this morally loose society and makes to right so many wrongs in his own capacity. He is indeed a great soul, massively loved by all and sundry. Oluwatosin Adeosun is a man whose heart bleeds for the decay in the system of Nigeria Technical colleges, hence the project save Nigeria Technical colleges.
He is so passionate about reviving the lost glory of Nigeria Technical colleges.

He believes passionately if the nations Technical colleges are functional and well equiped with the necessary technical equipment, many of the Nigeria youth will not give in to wrong vices like cultism, prostitution and arm robbery to mention but a few in the country and believes it is the most pragmatic way in empowering out teeming youth with
technical skills which will make them not depend on the government only but create a path of self independence and a sense of entrepreneurship.

Oluwatosin Adeosun is not just only passionate but vigouriously dedicated in achieving this feat for his beloved country Nigeria. He has gone round the Nigeria with the crusade, preaching the message the PROJECT SAVE NIGERIA TECHNICAL COLLEGES and supporting these technical colleges with his hard earned money by buying electrical equipment, books and textbooks for the students.

I have never seen anyone as passionate and worried about the state of this nation Technical colleges like Adeosun and he his taking pragmatic actions in his own little way to get make happen.

On one occasion, which i witness a young man who withdrew from Benin Technical College ,Edo State because his parents couldn't afford the fees. I dont know how their path crossed but when he heard of it,went to the school
With the young man and the teacher attested the young man was the best in his class.

That very day he paid for everything and the young man resumed the next day. The teachers were amazed that kind hearted Nigerians like this still exist.
In his words (i cannot allow this destiny waste away).
To the young man he was God sent
To me i saw a selfless and dedicated man
A man taken over by his passion
Not expecting a Thank you from anyone
For the course and path he has carve out for himself.
Earnestly i pray he emerge the winner in this competition.

May 15, 2019 22:14

This is one of the best initiative in recent times. You have my support 100%. Technical education in Nigeria has lost its glory in recent times, the discrimination dished out to graduate of technical colleges when they seek admission to tertiary schools (university) is a sad story in itself.
Not forgetting the negligence from govt. In terms of funding, the unmotivated and in some cases unqualified teachers, dilapidated structures, non functional equipment, lack of power supply to mention but a few. Addressing the monster bedevilling technical colleges head long is a credible venture that needs commendation and support.
