SELFISH TO SELFLESS!
Hello dear friend,
I like this rhetoric, the first time I came into this competition, I voted for me alone, how selfish! Then I discovered I would not make it it alone, I voted next time for two others, still very selfish! Third day, I voted for more ideas and projects, but I still looked back to see if they voted for me as well. Later on I learnt that if you want to make it on campus, vote for everyone! Do not expect their votes because yours contributes to your blue bar more significantly.
LESSONS
1. When you have something, think of others
2. Do not expect a favour when you give
3. When you do things with others, you cover great ground.

When I was in third grade, we had a mandatory environmental Science class. The only thing i remember from that class, was when our teacher told us, 8 years olds, that the water table was falling by almost 2 feet ever year and Lake Victoria as drying up as the water levels were reducing significantly. For me, this fact suddenly converted this abstract idea of sustainable development into a very real problem that has affected many communities and people.

I saw your comment on the blog and the challenge you are presently facing. I experienced the same issue during the second week of voting in this competition. Yahoo just stops to send you a notification. How did I overcome this challenge? My secondary email address which is Gmail helped out. Gmail has the capacity to absorb the persistent email notifications sent by this competition. I used my secondary email at present to vote and comment one time. How will the mothers/women who are not able to read benefit from this brilliant project IDEA?

In addition to videos; In the long run, we plan to cater for the illiterate through language translation options as well as audio to the local languages of the country

How will the women who does not have access to internet benefit from this great IDEA? And what is your plan for the mothers living in a very remote areas of Uganda?

We are coming up with something for them. Currently we do on ground health education and savings encouragement. However, to reach many, we came up with the app. Now we understand that the rural Africa do not have access to internet of smart phones but many have phones. Statistics state that 22 million Ugandans have phones; so what we shall do is on ground health education and related activities, encourage them to share their relevant data which we shall put in a database, reminders for antenatal and savings can be done through SMS notification and follow-up calls. This will be purely manual but will help them either way.

I think one of the things we did that was important was that we worked really hard to identify the right problem before identifying the solution. If you find a problem that people talk about emotionally in their lives, you can take that leap to developing the solution according to Liam Don.

A question though, do you plan to teach IT skills to the youth? You know nowadays IT skills are in a rising need, such as graphic design, big data & data mining, etc. We can even try to freelance from anywhere with clients around the world. This is one of the best initiative in recent times. You have my support 100%. Technical education in Nigeria has lost its glory in recent times, the discrimination dished out to graduate of technical colleges when they seek admission to tertiary schools (university) is a sad story in itself.

The importance of Technical Education to any nation's economy is very obvious & cannot be over emphasized. Over the years, our dear country have become a dumping ground for foreign goods through perpetual importation of virtually everything we use and consume. Technical Education still remain the foundation through which these students can be equiped with the relevant knowledge and exposures that would later be nutured to make them become technologist and Engineers needed for the country's development.

Oluwatosin Adeosun is known to be technically inclined, focused, pragmatic & goal oriented. He has decided to embark on this great project to salvage our technical colleges and as such affect the lives of the students positively.

fail in your daily exercise (your own exercise and observe the challenges and make sure you solve the challenges either through discussion with your friends or revise a concept again through books, videos and etc and make sure you perform a lot of exercise to make sure you fit your challenges ...) it is allowed and can lead you to a success.

but to fail in exams it is not a way to a success because a time of success you want to make as a trial.

this is not for students only even to us in participation of this competition

Just like Blessings project; yours too is good. As the world strives towards the 2030 agenda, most countries are awakened to the fact that a lot still needs to be done, we cant agree more to the fact that the education system worldwide need to be more strategic and intentional in preparing its attendees for the growing demands in the looming job and entrepreneurship market. The theories are good for debate but the skills are what mold our minds into tangible action.

In some cases. its the youth who do not align themselves to the opportunities before them but in most cases; there are just no opportunities to align to. Keep creating opportunities for these youths and wish you the best of luck.\
