Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

Women Empowerment in Nigeria still lies at its lowest ebb. WECAN is that incubator for the future of African women. Tradition has marred and trapped vast majority of African women in the scourge of FULL HOUSE WIFE syndrome. WECAN in 2 months have been able to transform lives of over 200 Housewives through our whatsapp skill acquisition training. Our aim is to Transform by Transfer and that has been achieved through our first batch of training and the second batch is currently popularly demanded . Our post training assessment has been very excellent has acquired knowledge are being put to economic use by participants. WECAN has also been addressing Sugar Daddy syndrome which has evolved into "Small girl Big God Syndrome" in Nigeria. It is ravaging the younger Nigerian women today from the ages of 9 to 19 years. WECAN holiday summit for girls was a successful retreat as young girls were trained, coached and assigned mentors so as to grow up to be self reliant African women.

Sustainability and future plans

WECAN is currently being runned by passionate individuals and in a short time we have been able to attract well meaning individuals, local government, organisations and religious bodies. We have been given the platform to share our vision, tell our stories and air our views and this for us is the biggest gift we will always crave for. We hope to have partnerships with government agencies, corporate bodies and individuals to help facilitate all our projects - Training and skill acquisition, employment and scholarship opportunities, Full house wife projects, sugar daddy projects , girl child eduprojects etc. We anticipate to open Women Skill acquisition and Entrepreneurial Development centres in major cities Africa. Our vision is also to prepare an African girl child for the future in areas like Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and coding. This we hope to achieve with our September to Remember Coding for kids retreat in Lagos. Also we plan to sponsor girls that are less privileged to attend schools with offers and donations.

This is an avenue that will help women attain and achieve their goal as nation builders, entrepreneurship is the bridge between the poor and the rich. If women are given the opportunity to learn a skill, you will be sure our society will be a better place.

WECAN is a platform where women interact and uplift ourselves in so many aspect business, marriage, relationship, financial stability, religious, childreb and so on. We look out for ourselves and that has really helped me emotionally too, I've got a place I can be relieved after a stressful day and sisters I can unapologetically relate with.

May 18, 2019 06:14

Womens equality and empowerment is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals(SDG5).Women empowerment is the process that gives women full access over their own lives, society, and their communities and this is what WECAN is offering and ready to do more for the women folk in Nigeria.

May 17, 2019 17:37

SKILL ACQUISITION, TRAINING AND GENERAL INVOLVEMENT OF WOMEN MUST BE ENCOURAGED. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THIS PROJECT. IF A GROUP OF WOMEN CAN BE PUT TOGETHER IN HARMONY TO DISCUSS NATION BUILDING, ECONOMICALLY VIABLE TOPICS AND LIFE CHANGING DISCOURSE, THEN I APPROVE OF THIS PROJECT
