Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

We project environmental, health, and cultural change to happen like help reducing health-risks such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Obesity in the country. People will tend to consume the product offerings even if vegetables are used as a substitute product to sugar considering these targets people who have these diseases and who can potentially have these diseases. It has a potential to reduce non-communicable diseases rates by 30-35% by the year 2022. Second, it will be using mason jars instead of plastic cups which can both harm ones health and the environment. Lastly, its simply promoting the Filipino brand to the world since we are using organic vegetables from the Philippines and some of the vegetables are uniquely found in the Philippines only which makes it different from other brands and it will engage more foreign buyers to our product. In addition to that, the business serves as a bigger avenue for people residing in rural areas particularly farmers who can be given an opportunity since there would be no industrial processing involved in the process.

Sustainability and future plans

OMG! Drinks will collaborate with the National and local organizations such as Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Food Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) and Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to combat non-communicable diseases based on their specific needs and the situation. It will aim to create and develop drinks partnered with schools, malls and offices on hypertension & diabetes since the rates are increasing drastically, while the Department of Health and other local and international-related health partners will do the following: To help prevent and reduce such diseases by educating people the scientific benefits of the product offerings. It is to create a wide research design on other possible products that can be consumed by the general public and be beneficial for their health. In the future, it will be open to more ventures related that will integrate food and beverages together and more innovative beverage flavors. We will organize a fun 5k run in Bonifacio Global city, Taguig to fight these non-communicable disorders, engaging more people to support our product and advocacy in line with our objective to reduce health risks. The company will also integrate with job agencies to give people from rural areas more job opportunities especially in the pre-production, production and post-production of products which is also another SDG goal. This also aims to help the vulnerable agricultural sectors especially in Regions 1-3. As of the moment, strong market research on various niche groups have already been conducted.
