In brief, what makes us stand out from all other Education and Training businesses is that we bring education and training to the doorstep of the people specifically in a rural community where education and training is a scarce commodity. Our greatest achievement is knowing that we have impacted and engaged at about 5,000 people mostly youth through our project and/or work and supported 3 youth entrepreneurs in 2018 through grant whose business vision and mission well align with ours.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
According to the UN Statistics Division SDI datasets visualize 2030, quality education for all has not been evenly promoted and provided for and as such, has not been diversified. The educational system around the world especially the developing and the underdeveloped nations has shown great fluctuation. Accordingly, research estimate suggests that over 260 million people in the developing and underdeveloped world are not learning and not in school and over 33 million people that are in school cannot afford to train and/or send their children to school. The problem of poor-quality education is a challenge in rural communities in Nigeria and the most affected is the girl child. 50% of girls in the rural community cannot afford to pay for quality education and/or lacked the necessary funds to go to school; seeing many girls drop out of school before the end of their primary or secondary education. Since the problem of poor-quality education is a 50% gap in rural school children specifically the girl child compared to the urban areas, which include poor teacher quality, poor school environment, a poor conducive context for learning, low educational structure, school fees challenge, etc. Our venture exists to solve learning disabilities, particularly in rural communities by reaching out to the underprivileged communities in Nigeria and to provide the necessary funds and quality education that will assist them to grow their careers and thereby generate employment opportunity for them. In brief, our venture's impact on sustainable development is to improve lives by 30% by proving access to affordable quality educational opportunity for the people whereby the people can be more educated and to widen access through which the people can develop their skills, grow their careers and to generate job via the UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8.
Sustainability and future plans
Our initiative has benefited since inception students (secondary/tertiary), youths, job seekers, prospective and existing entrepreneurs, individuals, professionals, mothers/adults regardless of age, colour, race, religion and gender, promoting cultural diversity and inclusive society. Our venture sustainable plan in terms of organisational sustainability will focus more on our revenue generating streams (model) by working towards its growth process; creating more business advertisement and awareness in the digital area and onsite. In the financial sustainability impact; the funding for Bibieandrea Services Venture has been made possible through a written book entitled An Employment Strategy Handbook; Education and Training (seminars/workshops); as well as free will donations from generous donors and other SME generated funds for the business which has constantly supported this project financially. In summary, the future for scalability plan will be to generate a new revenue business model for the business (such as a digital website whereby our education and training courses can be made available and accessible virtually to a wider audience that will cut across Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Lastly, our team will continue to work on these cited revenue model for the business by frequently carrying out research and providing innovative ways to improve and nourish the business to more organisational and financial existence (sustainability).
