Bibieandrea Services Venture is borne out of scientific research study and we are into Education and Training. Our Mission/objective is to keep striving to promote and build a healthy foundation for students, job seekers, entrepreneurs and professionals by creating employment and quality educational opportunity for the people by 30%. Since Bibieandrea inception in 2018, we have successfully impacted, trained and equipped 150 people onsite and 500 individuals via our social media channels through (seminars and workshops) and helped 20 persons secure a job through our constant job posting, the job interview and career coaching. We have equally supported 3 youth entrepreneurs and 2 out of school children in the rural/peri-urban community to further their education through a grant from our projected revenue. For example, our project trained David a 14-year-old out of school in 2018 from South-West Nigeria to go back to school to finish his secondary education. And now, David has passed his Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam, and he is currently processing admission into University. The end-benefit for using our education and training service(s) is that they assist the people to develop themselves both personally and professionally and to advance and/or grow their careers. As a social enterprise, what makes our service offering unique/different from other competitors is that we make education and training opportunity affordable; at a fraction of the main cost for the people. Finally, we take education and training opportunity to the doorstep of the people specifically in rural/peri-urban community and/or the most abandoned of places in Nigeria where training and education is a scarce commodity free of cost to the underprivileged people. Our team of professionals are best placed to solve this problem as a result of their education and skills in resolving an educational social issue.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
The UN Statistics Division SDI datasets 2030 states that quality education for all has not been evenly promoted/provided for and has not been fully diversified. The educational system around the world especially the developing/underdeveloped nations has shown great fluctuation. Research estimate suggests that over 260,000,000 people in the developing/underdeveloped world are not learning and not in school and over 33,000,000 people that are in school cannot afford to train and/or send their children to school. The problem of poor-quality education is a challenge in Nigeria and the most affected is the girl child. 50% of girls in the rural/peri-urban community cannot afford to pay for quality education and/or lacked the necessary funds to go to school; seeing many girls and fewer boys drop out of school before the end of their primary or secondary education. To create a lasting solution to decreasing poor quality education, our project mission is to give more out of school children in rural/peri-urban community access to quality education and this is directly pertinent to SDG indicator 4.1. To ensure our project is directly providing access to quality education by reducing the 50% gap of out of school children in a rural/peri-urban community in Nigeria, this project is providing the (tuition fees) to further 2 out of school children education annually thereby contributing to indicator 4.7. Also, our project mission and/or objective is to decrease the unemployment rate in Nigerian graduates. The SDG indicator that best describes this initiative is indicator 8.1. To show this project is directly contributing to SDG 8, Bibieandrea is committed to training at least 300 youths annually thereby contributing to indicator 8.7. The project is contributing positively in a beneficial way to Sustainability Development Goals 4 and 8.
Sustainability and future plans
$5,000.01 USD was raised in 2018 by our project of which $1,500.00 USD was used to support 2 out of school children education in a rural/peri-urban community in Nigeria, which means at least one year of basic schooling for a child currently out of school. With additional funding requested, we would be able to raise $10,000.00 USD more, thus put at least 4 number of more children in school for at least one year. In 2018, we trained at about 150 people onsite and up to 500 people online through our education and training program. We also assisted in securing a job for 20 people. We partnered with a Consulting organisation to get our business known and deliver our services through their network. With additional funding requested, we would be able to partner with at least one more educational and training consulting business. This will ensure our business is noticed by more people and will get to our target customers/audience and been showcased to more individuals who are in dire need of our services. We use the pre/post survey tools to measure the impact outcome of our project. The key milestones both (commercial, marketing and technical) for our venture in the next 24 months is creating a new revenue model for the business in the form of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where our courses can be delivered through technology. Another key milestone for our venture in the next 24 months is Finance, such as gaining market traction through the constant generation of revenue for the business. This is relevant in other for us to establish a good marketing roadmap for growth/scalability. These factors are key indicators for our business to achieving successful commercial, marketing and technical key milestones in the next 24 months that are needed to be implemented.
Your profile as an entrepreneur
Blessing is born on July 2nd, 1987 to the family of Mr Christopher I. Ikiseh and Mrs Anthonia I. Ikiseh. She is a Human Resource Professional/Organisational Psychologist. She has 6 plus years of experience in accounting, human resources, education and training, leadership in business, entrepreneurship, and administrative roles. Blessing recently completed her master's degree study with the School of Psychology and Therapeutic Studies at the University of South Wales, UK (online study), where she studied MSc. in Psychology in the field of Industrial-Organisational Psychology. The reason for her choosing this field (work) stems from an intellectual curiosity to understand the psychology of human behaviour as it pertains to workplace settings and business and more importantly in life. Blessing has the ability of a good leader, and a gift for order and priority and a strong passion for youth development and education. She was recognised by the Honor Society Organization, U.S.A in 2018 for an outstanding Graduate Achiever and Community Service Award. She is also a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), U.S.A. Aside from working full time with Main One as the Human Resource Manager for the company, Blessing runs the Education and Training initiative BIbieandrea Services Venture with a major focus of creating a quality educational opportunity for the people in her community. This initiative is motivated by the poor-quality educational opportunity available to the people specifically in the rural/peri-urban community in Nigeria. Our venture exists to widen access to affordable quality educational opportunity and to create employment for the people in her community by 30%.
