Diabetigo is a mobile technology platform that connect diabetes mellitus patients with vital personalized healthcare informations to make the right healthy and life style decisions, in 4 indigenous languages including English, week-by-week, via sms, voice call, podcast, mobile and web-enabled application in Nigeria and 45 sub-Saharan Countries. Diabetigo aims to offer the following: I. Diabetigo SMS: a mobile text messaging software, that helps diabetes mellitus patients to receive daily healthcare informations, on diet intake, treatment/exercise reminders, lifestyle management, and self-care for improving health outcome via an automated messaging approach, on there mobile phone in Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Pidgin English, English in Nigeria, and 45 sub-Saharan African Countries languages. II. Diabetigo Voice Call: a voice messaging interactive software, that connect diabetes mellitus patients with confidential one-on-one appointment via an automated telephone monitoring service, with secured and certified healthcare professionals, for seeking direct answers to there health-related questions. III. Diabetigo App: a social interaction mobile/web portal, that connect diabetes mellitus patients with trusted community of healthcare professionals; enabling them engage in personalized virtual/online games to learn basic prevention/management methods of diabetes mellitus; as well as enhancing automated monitoring of blood sugar level; facilitate self-reported sending of health datas to Doctors for progressive reviews/feedbacks, eliminating time-consuming Doctor's appointment; IV. Diabetigo Partner: an evidence-based, messaging software, to help donor/development agencies, mobile phone/network operators, government agencies, researchers, health management organizations, healthcare professionals, developers/implementers, use our robust database both to conduct research/survey, advertise healthcare products/services/self-report datas that will save lives of diabetes mellitus patients at different levels within Nigeria's 774 local government areas/45 sub-Saharan African Countries.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
Diabetigo will solve the following problem(s) as it hope to build, scale and grow: I. Language barrier among diabetes mellitus patients to access basic healthcare informations; II. Difficulty accessing trusted healthcare informations/vetted healthcare service providers/professionals in Nigeria; III. Absurd charges by local healthcare providers who provide prevention/management advice for diabetes mellitus patients;& IV. Lack of qualified and properly trained healthcare providers on diabetes mellitus prevention/management. Diabetigo will also contribute to my country's job creation/social development by addressing: a. Inadequate job supply within healthcare sectors; b. Poor communication gap between healthcare providers and diabetes mellitus patients; c. Reduce morbidity rate of diabetes mellitus patients, by allowing them to properly manage their aliments; and d. Increased promotion of quality healthcare sevice delivery among healthcare providers and diabetes mellitus patients.
Sustainability and future plans
Presently, I have designed a mobile/web app framework/prototype for my innovation. I have also gotten costs for mobile/web app design/launch for both local and international web/mobile app developers and printed 500 copies of data collection worksheets. I will be opening a digital text messaging platform, through a secure bulk sms web-enabled platform for providing week-by-week, healthcare informations for diabetes mellitus patients, then creation of board of directors, while also recruiting team of healthcare professionals, professional language translators, content creators, & digital maketers, who will provide expertise skills and knowledge for helping diabetes mellitus patients manage there ailment and organizing info sessions in 100 local clinics/hospitals in Nigeria. In addition to these, I will work with 100 local clinics/hospitals to collate datas of non-communicable dieases patients, alongside marketing my products/services to them, within 6 months to 1 year. I will be reaching/subscribing 50,000 diabetes mellitus patients on my business mobile/web platform, as well as subscribing 100 healthcare organizations to use our engagement platform to reach, engage, and save lives of diabetes mellitus patients within 50 local government areas in Nigeria. I hope to raise seed-funding through personal savings, grants, investments from Venture Capitalists, angel investors, & Crowdfunding. The revenue for my business will be derived from PAID sms/voice call/mobile/web application subscription; PAID online consultation/treatment advice; PAID blood sugar analysis; PAID Doctors progressive reviews/feedbacks; PAID live chats/forum; and I will also get 80% revenue through PAID classified healthcare products/services advertisement; PAID healthcare consultancy; PAID dataminning/research survey; PAID advocacy campaign.

I am a 27 year old social entrepreneur with over 5 years' experience in healthcare innovation management, social entrepreneurship, youth development, entrepreneurship education, human capital development and non-profit management with top-tiers organisations in Nigeria and sub-Saharan African Countries, and I am passionate about the use of Artificial Intelligence, Creativity, Innovation and Design Thinking to meet clients goals and expectations. I have been honoured by Their World International in collaboration with UNESCO, a UK social enterprise for my contributions towards healthcare education among vulnerable populace (women, children, and youths) within marginalized communities and cities in Nigeria(Global Youth Ambassador - A World At School Program 2016), selected among the 2018 Top 50 fellow of the SME Toolkit of Enterprise Development Centre(of the Pan-African University, Lagos) in partnership with MasterCard Foundation and appointed as a fellow of United State Exchange Program, YALI Regional Leadership Centre online cohort 8(2018); named as 2019 International Ambassador of Institute of Economics and Peace, a global think tank headquartered in Sydney, Australia; 2018 International Ambassador of Young Counselling and Development Network Leaders; 2018 Alumnus of Appalachian State University/Sozo Leadership Institute Grant Writing Fellowship; 2018 Fellow of Nigerian Bottling Company- Youth Empowered Program.
