Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
*Achievements* 1. The SelfieSafaiChallenge attracted participation of nearly 50 people. Being a project at a nascent stage the success of the movement was considerable wherein we observed people (esp. working in the corporate sector) actively participate. The initiative was a precursor to the Governments Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan (started a year after SelfieSafaiChallenge). 2. The Litter Angels Program in school with participation of 100 students helped ingrain the importance of cleanliness and basic sanitation at a young age. 3. Street Talks awareness program led to reaching about 250 people in the markets of Lucknow. 4. Social media campaigns which includes news, reports, best practices have seen active engagement of people. Within a short span, the page received about 400 likes. *Impact at the Three Levels* 1. Global Our endeavour to bring together the best practices around the world not only helps create an impact within the country but would also help the global audience get a perspective of possible methodologies to overcome some of the pressing problems with respect to geographical and environmental conditions at their end. 2. Country Our articles which talk of start-ups working towards curbing civic issues esp. on sanitation (reducing open defecation/urination) and provision of clean drinking water would be crucial in promoting businesses to get more reach and motivate people to participate within their capacity. 3. Policy Intervention/Coherence [Future Plan] We are constantly striving, through our research, to evaluate the existing policies and efforts to either intervene or bring in coherence in terms of change in processes to effectively align with existing policies *Measures to evaluate success* 1. Social Media Engagement Reach of close to 2k people per post. Targeted to increase to 4k by the end of 2019 2. Increase in Website traffic by 100%; increase in time spent per page; increase in downloads

Your profile as an entrepreneur
*Varun Prashant (Founder, Age- 35)* *Jayant Jain (Founder, Age - 35)* While walking through one of the gardens in a foreign country, we wondered, how is it possible that some places are so neat and clean. Its not that these places have thousands of people sweeping every corner of the city 24/7 or cops patrolling every corner, or there are no throw away packages. The answer is simple - it is about the society and attitude of its people. Probably there would be very few countries where the chief driver is enforcement, but majorly in many countries, it is the self-discipline of the people. It is ingrained in the psyche of the people to not indulge in any acts which causes any folly. After venting some of our frustration on the state of affairs, our focus meandered on finding solutions for this huge problem. We discussed on the possibilities which can be done as individual, some thoughts which might bring some change in people habits. Basically, how can Me and U contribute. As first step of this journey, we created a Facebook page, after some deliberations, we named it as Change Starts from Me and U. Though a mouthful, but at its heart, it calls for involvement, which has self-discipline first and preach later. This happened few months before Indian Prime Minister called it out as a national movement. Already, we see many groups and individuals who are doing tremendous job in this area. 'Change Started' is only our small contribution, we want to expand to areas which look trivial but has a potential impact. Cleanliness, Food wastage, paper wastage, plantation, driving without seat-belt or helmet, lane driving, unnecessary honking, plastic waste, giving way to ambulance - are some of the areas, where if attention is given, can benefit greatly.
