Simulation of Sustainable Energy for Fuel Cell System
Explain your project in details:
I am passionate about changing lives positively and creating unique solutions to solve human and environmental problems. One of the areas I would like to contribute and make an impact in my generation is in the "Energy Sector." In the near future, some fuel cell systems could be an accessible and attractive alternative to conventional electricity generation and vehicle drives. Fuel cells have attracted a great deal of attention as a potential power source for automobile and stationary applications due to their low temperature of operation, high power density and high energy conversion efficiency. Great progress has been made over the past twenty years in the development of fuel cell technology. However, there are still several technical challenges that need to be addressed before commercialization of fuel cells. As the world faces mega-trends such as climate change and increased chemical emissions that pose threats to environmental stability in the future, and with increased pollution concerns over non-renewable energy resources like crude oil, natural gas etc. the simulation of sustainable fuel cell system is essential in the coming decades. Growth and poverty reduction requires sustainable management of natural resources, and mitigation of environmental externalities. Nigeria ranks as Africa's highest producer of oil and the sixth largest oil producing country in the world with a maximum crude oil production capacity of 2.5 million barrels per day and apart from that, there is abundance of other mineral resources which releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere causing global warming and posing more threats to the environment. With all these figures mentioned about the availability of oil in Nigeria, one would think that Nigerians are swimming in fuel but that's not the case; in fact, sometimes, we face fuel scarcity because of mismanagement and lack of sustainability.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
As a social and political activist for change, justice and sustainable growth, my enterprise will be built on making ground-breaking contribution towards sustainable development in the energy sector and to ensure the total well-being of mankind. On a personal level, I have tried to create awareness on governance and the sustainable growth of my country Nigeria via social media and through word-of-mouth; while some people responded well and accepted my theorem, others took it with a pinch of salt. I will never give up on my dream, even if it's just one person that is enlightened by my campaign. I know that there are millions of people out there who are hungry to hear the truth and to meet someone who can encourage and lead them on the right path to sustainable development, this is why I am seeking this platform in your programme "Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition 2019" in order to go global with my ideas and add to my achievements and success. Energy, often characterized as the lifeblood of modern societies, is seen as fundamental for economic and social progress in developing countries. Energy can act as an incubator of economic activity and have an important impact on long-term poverty reduction. It increases livelihood options by allowing households to engage in a more diverse range of income-generating activities, and can make pre existing activities more efficient. Energy is directly linked to increased income and productivity, and indirectly to enhanced levels of health, education, quality of life, and human development in general. Given the centrality of energy for sustainable development, wider and greater access to energy services is critical for achieving all of the Millennium Development Goals
Sustainability and future plans
The global pathway towards a more sustainable energy future has widely been recognized as a key challenge for the 21st century.Natural resources are under-exploited and sometimes wasted due to unqualified personnel or poor technical know how. Especially access to energy is crucial as 1.3 billion people in developing countries lack access to electricity. For example, we still don't have electricity in my village and this is pathetic. So, to establish access to sustainable energy in developing countries given the lack of the insight into the 'whether and how' of viable business models in economic, social and environmental terms, I created this business / research plan to outline the main challenges and opportunities of sustainable energy, to offer some broader reflections on dilemmas and modalities and find a way to ensure a sustainable fuel cell system with very minimal to no pollution emission into the environment through the campaign "Simulate today, Innovate tomorrow." My plan is to explore key issues and provide recommendations related to the evolving power sector and increased use of renewable energy, particularly related to distributed generation and the effective integration of advanced grid technologies. So far, I don't have a sponsor but I hope to find one soon. Pworld Co. Ltd. as my company will be called, is striving to be a leader in the supply of sustainable energy around the globe, especially in developing countries. We will seek public policy and regulatory support from the government in order to effect our change. This will be backed by the fact that we will get good influential men and women on our side who can be able to confront any corrupt government to ensure that their policies favors our line of action.
