Moving from Tolerance, Coming to Acceptance towards Differences, Leading to Together Engagement for
Explain your project in details:
Main objectives are to introduce the youth in the city with social and human rights issues. We realize most of them come from diverse backgrounds, therefore it is not an instant way to make them open minded. From there, we try to improve their tolerance mind then move to accept differences and to be engaged with the different ones to achieve future social transformation. Our activities rely on open dialogues and visits. We involve them to be a part of different religions, different people from diverse sexual orientations, and from different environment. We visit each other, having dialogues together, open pot luck with their food to share each other, to do movie screening, critical reading and writing. We will try to do photography and walk together to places with issues of social phenomenon as well. To support this, we collaborate with our existing networks addressing similar issues. And, we conduct all the programs without funding at all and all participants do not pay any single fee to join.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
The achievement has not been measured professionally due to not having a special tool for it. However, we could see the past participants become our new facilitators, they are invited to join lots of programs by other institutions. For this year's program, they even plan by themselves and try to develop them by inviting their peers and groups. Some of them become presenters in various meetings discussing peace, conflicts, and resolutions.
Sustainability and future plans
Up to now we are still maintaining our cycle method since we are not being financed. We will still keep our own method. For this, I am as a coordinator , must be able to strengthen external networks to work together with us.
