Sustainability and future plans
We have focused our efforts on developing a comprehensive sustainability assessment. Therefore, environmental, social, economic and corporate governance indicators should be integrated. In this case, the proposed model won't only deal with financial indicators but should also include non-financial ones; suitability: The assessment should be done for every agricultural biogas plant and results sum should be presented. However, the model can't be universal, because the indicators should reflect the specifics of the economic activities in which the company operates. Therefore, different available sustainability frameworks are used and specific sets of indicators are chosen for the analyzed sector (e.g., agriculture, manufacturing, ...); simplicity and applicability: The modified model should be easy, simple, suitable and accurate. It reflects not only the three dimensions (economic, environmental, and social) but the corporate governance pillar is also added.
