Explain your project in details:
Aivy develops an app that uses psychological mini-games to collect diagnostic data to inform users career choices. Thereby, users can learn about their own vocation in an appealing and scientifically sound way. At the same time, users are matched with suitable job offers on the basis of their diagnostic data. A set of machine learning algorithms leverage managerially relevant success factors to conduct user-job matching. These algorithms are the foundation for offering users a self-optimizing career counseling process. Finally, with this approach, Aivy aims to actively contribute to solve the pressing issues of employee disengagement and shortage of skilled workers.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
(1) In today's job application process, subjective perceptions of a person's age, gender and origin are still strongly colored. Instead, Aivy focuses on the individual potential of a person. This contributes to more equal opportunities on the labour market. (2) Aivy is aware that successful entrepreneurship only works in a stable society. That's why Aivy supports non-profit organizations and foundations that contribute to social cohesion. Such organizations often have problems finding suitable employees, resulting in costs and loss of effectiveness. Therefore, after verifying their non-profit status, Aivy offers organizations unlimited access to the Aivy Sourcing Manager to advertise and fill their own positions free of charge.
Sustainability and future plans
In November 2018 a proof-of-concept of the mobile app was tested with about 300 high-school and university students. Nine out of ten users rated Aivy as more engaging and helpful than currently available career counseling offers. Teachers agreed. With the little data available at this stage, Aivys AI was able to predict users job preferences with 14 % higher accuracy than the gold standard in psychological testing. Over the past 6 months Aivy got a new look, improved minigames and an updated machine learning algorithm and is ready to start in the market by September 2019. On the B2B side, Aivy won some pilot customers and cooperation partners and has created awareness at 10+ conferences. A first round of financing is planned for early 2020.
Your profile as an entrepreneur
I'm a entrepreneur and world traveller currently living in Berlin. I founded my first company at the age of 16. The idea for Aivy is based on my scientific thesis as a business psychologist with focus on digital business. Within my team I mainly take care of business development, marketing and sales. We recently won the HR Tech Slam at TOA and are supported by Freie Universität Berlin. Finding one's own vocation is difficult for many people. They are uncertain about their own strengths and abilities. We want to change that by making psychological diagnostics appealing and accessible to everyone. In addition to that, we want to change the choice of staff and reduce discrimination by focusing on individual empowerment rather than focusing on biographical information such as age, gender or background. Steve Jobs said: Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you havent found it yet, keep looking. Dont settle. As with all matters of the heart, youll know when you find it. And we believe in this! That's why we brought Aivy to life.
