fisea - Book your fishing holidays
Explain your project in details:
Fisea is a project with the vision of creating the best platform for providing integrated fishing trips with the aim of raising fishermen's standard of living, combating overfishing and developing fishing tourism in Greece. Through a user-friendly interface (website & mobile application for Android & iOS) the tourist interacts with fishing tour packages, compares and selects the services that interest him / her (fishing tour, airline tickets, hotel, restaurants) easily and in full transparency after being able to explore the fishermen's background and ratings (which follow a zero tolerance policy for fake reviews using blockchain technology, and in particular with project deepvault, a blockchain-based solution that allows authored files credential validation and timestamp file) for the previous fishing trips to the area of interest. Gastronomic recipes, suggestions for activities in the area that have been carefully selected by the fisea team based on local tourist guides etc. as well as detailed weather forecasts are coming to complement the overall tourist experience.

Your profile as an entrepreneur
I am Ioannis Emmanouil Kosmadakis, I am 25 years old and I am studying at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Patras, Greece, where I am expected to graduate in 2019. During my academic life I have been engaged in research by publishing articles in international scientific journals, while I was nominated for the nationwide competition of the best diplomatic work in the bioelectronics field that I joined in the top three positions. In addition, I am interested in blockchain technology and digital marketing, which I also have a certificate from Google. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new ideas and innovative projects with creative people. Growing up in a country like Greece, where tourism is a key element of economic activity, I have just discovered the prospects of alternative tourism. In the last semester and having almost completed my duties with the Polytechnic School I have decided to explore the prospects of fishing tourism, which is part of the alternative tourism sector and which has not been developed particularly in Greece. With the idea of developing a platform to defend fishing tourism, I decided to take part in the Blue Hackathon 2019, a contest run by the Patras Science Park, as part of the implementation of the Blue_Boost project co-funded by the European Union and aimed at developing pilot applications in Blue Growth. By managing to secure my first place in the competition, I decided to continue studying entrepreneurship and innovation seminars while I joined the "RE-STARTUP Patras" entrepreneurship program, which aims to promote and create innovative business ideas (organised by POS4work and backed by the Patras Science Park etc.) Having a strong technological background and the weapon of mood for learning, I started this new venture to ensure a minimal viable product this summer.
