Waste to Wealth (Smilenvironment)
Explain your idea in details:
The main objectives: In order to ensure our environment is free from the effect of global warming which is caused by humans and animals day to day activities such as cooking with wood or charcoal and waste from animal faeces. The decomposition of this waste without been trapped has a great danger on our planet, but the trapping of this waste will produce methane gas which can be used for cooking, generation of energy. Agriculture will be encouraged because the raw material needed for the generation of this methane gas will be from animal faeces and the end product (organic fertilizer) is highly rich in NPK which is important for plants growth. The Activities: The production of the methane gas is naturally generated inside a Bio-Digester. All that is needed is to fill in the waste through an inlet into the agitated bio-digester, while the effluent (organic fertilizer) is gotten from the outlet provided. The Innovative approaches: The innovation is simple, smart and sustainable. The product is mobile and can be moved from one place to another.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The impact targets of my idea on sustainable development is focused on goal 7, which is to ensure clean and renewable energy in our country by 2030. Poor waste management will be eradicated thereby reducing global warming effects alongside air and water borne diseases. The total popultion of Nigeria is Said to be Two hundred million (200,000,000) and all of this populace use energy directly or indirectly in there daily activities.
