Explain your idea in details:
In every business outlet has its objectives to look into to turn into a successful business one day, the same to Kamadoshi Point has the objective as well. Our Main Objectives as a business are -To establish a presence as a successful local food, smoothies, and Juice outlets and gain a market share in the Morogoro food industry. -To make Kamadoshi Point a destination spot for friends, teenagers, and families. -To expand into several outlets by year three, and sell the franchise to neighboring metropolitan cities, such as Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Iringa. - Giving back campaign in year 2 of the business, our campaign will be focusing on young females in the village supporting them with all necessary equipment for the school and empower more young people to establish their businesses. Our activities will be Advertising, marketing research, selling, recruiting workers, recording financial books, cooking, blending juice and smoothies, packaging, material buying, looking for potential investors, and Delivery. The innovative approaches to reach the objectives will be through free delivery of all our products to our clients, this will help our customers relax and have an ample time to work and assured there is a place they can rely on when it comes to food and juice of their choices. we are going to create a WhatsApp group to keep connected with our customers and be able to fetch orders from them as early as possible.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The impact of our business outlet will work on two different angles and contribute to sustainable development. firstly the business will create job opportunities to most of the young people in town, we shall be looking for food and juice suppliers, which the success of this business will lead to the creation of many youth job opportunities. despite creating jobs our business will dedicate part of its monthly profit which is 10% to communities to support them especially kids in vulnerable places, our core thematic areas of support will be in Education and Entrepreneurship hubs, this will create a lasting and sustainable impact to the community and create a good reputation between the business and the community surrounding it. Achieving this depends on the right place to set the business and have the right targeted customers. So our target will be the bulk of teenagers and youngsters, we have chosen this group for very important reasons, this group of people mostly are students in university and they hate much stressing on cooking because they have no space to do so, which Kamadoshi will be their ideal option for them as its offers free delivery services. Our second target is between the ages of 25 and 37, which are a heavy lounge/restaurant user group. They are more flexible in budgets and seek more than a value/price relationship. The measure of the success will be based on the expansion of the business outlets, the establishment of the franchise to other metropolitan cities and increasing the number of business users, being able to start giving back to the community in the year 2 of the business is an indicator that the business is running successfully.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Our Business model will be, At first Kamadoshi Point, which will open one outlet inside the New Big market Shopping Centre in Morogoro. This will become our "market testing area," and as we go further, Kamadoshi Point is planning to open another in nearby shopping malls. In attracting customers to try our foods, juices, and smoothies, we will provide a see-through kitchen, so that people will see how we are committed to freshness in our products. The kitchen will also let out an aroma of our freshly fried fries into the surrounding area so that people will come and try our products. Our financing sources will depend hugely on personal savings, grants, and interested investors, Kamadoshi Point requires a sum of Tsh 5 million which is equivalent to the US $2500 for start-up equipment and assets to establish our first outlet. When established our first outlet we do expect to have a massive gross profit margin of 40%, reaching this profit requires a good market strategy. Our strategy is based on serving our markets well. We will start our first outlet as a "market tester" that could become a model of the expanding number of outlets in the future and make the business sustainable as we keep expanding. Concentration will be on maintaining quality and establishing a strong identity in the local market. A combination of local media and local store marketing programs will be utilized at each location. Local store marketing is most effective, followed by the print ad. As soon as a concentration of stores is established in a market, then broader media will be explored. We are highly committed to collaborate with local farmers within the area to obtain fresh fruits every day and also create a reliable market for these farmers.
My name is Abdallah Njayagha a 25 years old, I am a social activist and a Vice-chairperson of Raleigh Tanzania Society, I was born and raised in the small town of Morogoro region in Tanzania, I spent most on education life in this small town. During my education career, I managed to be a leader at all levels from a normal class monitor to a high school President. I have found purpose in life through volunteering in various areas in my country and I have been a very proud young man who strives to take actions in challenges that most of our communities face because I am an active citizen. In 2018 I dropped out from university because I didn't have enough money to pay for my studies, this situation had never discouraged me at all because I did get the reason to keep on moving and learn in another way round and that was through volunteering and currently I am volunteering as COVID 19 Champion in My region through Unicef and a youth lead campaign called Kesho Tutachelewa ( Swahili phrase) as alumni and engagement officer. I have worked as a volunteer for 8 years since I was in secondary school and I am proud to accomplish a lot until today. During all this time I had to find an idea of a business that will help earn money to survive, I turned my cooking talent into a business idea and named it Kamadoshi Point. my business ideas deal with cooking food, supply juices, and smoothies to most parts of my town and, the university students in my area.
