Due to cultural, religious and health challenges and differences most people ar not able to eat what is serve in other foriegn countries they visit for different purposes. As a result several people even though they have business to undertake in other places always decline visiting these places. Every tourist thinks of two things before his trip accommodation, food if he is traveling to a new country, new culture, different religion, different language and as agreed Muslims and Jews have special dietary restrictions according to their religious beliefs. The idea of this project is to think of these visitors but also the others who have special sanitary dietary restrictions and it is difficult for them to quickly find a restaurant when needed and on time. Therefore, the creation of an e-commerce Marketplace website brings together the different restaurants (Hallal, vegetarian, kosher, or other restriction) in Europe, America, Asia will be a good solution for a large number of tourists, in view of economic relations, scientific partnerships, between the five continents where Europe is the center of attraction. The mealtime site will be a platform for all restaurants initially in Europe, it distinguishes these restaurants by categories. So, it suffices to specify the food need by the visitor and the location in order to give our results. Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
This project will have a great impact on the social, economic and ecological term, it shows great respect and special value to visitors by really thinking about their food need even if it is different for health, habits, religious reasons. This start-up will prove a worthy and noble intention and explain our attention, thought of special dietary needs. On the other hand, this start-up will offer an economic promotion to the different restaurants, and highlight the marketing of the best choices to visitors with a wide range of comparison. In addition, economic partnerships, the organization of fairs and annual gastronomic events, the objective of which is to present our company and our objective and to promote new meals and the new discoveries of chefs from around the world.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The project is a good idea to take into consideration, the selection and development of this start-up will guarantee a great opening on the economic tourism and catering market. The idea of start-ups will also be to promote by exhibition fairs and events to discover the new meals of the chefs, also to indirectly support job creation with the establishment of premises in several tourist countries. Indeed, the selection of this start-up will be an opening in several economic scales such as: gastronomic tourism, catering, marketing, a job creator and a new technological application, but especially on other sustainable aspects. The project is still in the initial phase, and I am trying to do in-depth research on this subject with a large number of tourists. The project will be managed by a group of competent experts in the various areas legal, marketing, finance and land ownership. I had a lot of experience with software, website creation and any technological manipulation. In the end, the project will be well surrounded by a work group who loves and supports our sustainable goal and who think of everyone in order to facilitate this life.
I am DIAF Imene, I was born on November 16, 1990 in Algiers / Algeria, I am a graduate in geography and regional planning at the University of Mentouri Constantine 1. I carried out doctoral research between 2013-2019 on a relevant subject, which deals with the compatibility between tourism development and the safeguarding of protected areas. During this research, I did a one-year research stay in Paris 1 pantheon Sorbonne within the framework of a scientific partnership between Algeria and France, it was a very scientifically beneficial stay but I had a problem with my food options, since I am a Muslim and I discovered the same thing with two Lebanese doctoral students. It was a little bit tricky to find a reliable restaurant for our FTOUR during Ramadan, so I told myself that this is also a problem for other people and other dietary restrictions. In October 2019, I was selected to participate in a summer school in Italy in Sicily organized by Union des Universitaires de la Méditerranée UNIMED, and NNUMARI, this experience allowed the 16 candidates to discover, taste the new dishes, meet great chefs, and the thing that appreciated me during this experience is that they took into consideration the dietary restrictions of the selected candidates. My scientific research on tourism and international trade will largely allow me to target a noble objective for the different types of visitors while respecting their gastronomic options with this project. This doctoral experience on tourism and my travels in Europe for my conferences and fieldwork in Switzerland and Germany, allowed me I had the idea of creating a Marketplace website for restaurants.
