How to achieve quality education worldwide
Published on June 9, 2020 um 17:02
Explain your idea in details:
Quality education is that which provides both theoretical and practical skills to a learner. Quality means perfection, standard and excellence in terms of a learners satisfaction as well as fulfilment of the society's needs. The objectives to quality education are summarized below: 1. To build a learners character. A school setting involves learners from different communities, tribes and homes with different characters, good or bad. Therefore quality education aims at erasing bad behaviors in learners and this can be done by putting in place sports activities with rewards, offering learners a right of choice and praising the good work done. 2. To inculcate in children the habits of prudence, economy and self-improvement. 3. To enhance quality of life of an individual. 4. To promote universally shared values in learners 5. To inculcate fundamental human values. The following activities and innovative approaches can be done in order to enhance quality education. 1. Proper structuring of courses of study through mixing up interesting topics with those which are least interesting 2. Quality infrastructure. Funds can be mobilized through progressive taxation where the rich citizens of a country are taxed so as to raise funds for constructing more structures 3.Competent and dedicated teaching faculties. Through increasing teachers' salaries and enrolling more teachers for training. 4. Proper learning resources and enriched learning atmosphere. Provision of scholastic materials to the poor by schools and restocking libraries with materials 5. Provision of a based flexible timetable including sports activities for refreshment. 6. Provision of advanced learning materials with the use of technology for instance: computers. 7. Provision of teaching aids and multi-media 8. Provision of a social learning centre for the unprivileged like street children and orphans.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The following are the expected impacts of my idea. 1. Eradication of unemployment through equal access to technical, vocational and higher education hence producing a large number of job creators than job seekers. This can be evaluated by finding out the number of self employed to those who are not 2. Promotion of gender equality as women will be aware of family planning tips. This can be evaluated by taking population census and comparing it with that of the past years 3. Improvement in global development. Through finding out the contribution of educated people in society inform of infrastructure 4. Excellence in exams without struggles as learners would have attained relevant skills for descent work. Through testing of learners with questions and tests. 5. Building up relevant citizens. I mostly target the street kids for whom a free social learning platform can be created so that they become economically productive citizens in the near future.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
1. Ensuring that all boys and girls complete free and equitably leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes. More importantly creating online and social learning platforms mostly for the street children and this can be achieved in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports which can help to finance. Such street children can be talked to and incorporated into different learning activities depending on their choice for example free quality piano lessons, hand and art work learning. 2. Ensuring that all boys and girls have access to quality childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education. 3. Ensuring equal access for all men and women for affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university. 4. Substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers through international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries, especially the least developed countries. 5. Expand globally the number of scholarships for enrollment in higher education, including vocational training and information and communications technology, technical, engineering and scientific programmes in developing countries and other countries. The government owned schools and institutions should be non-profit making. While the private owned can be for profit motive and for those who can afford. Finance sources can be got from government and non-govermental organizations, public funding through widening the tax base and sharing national budget allocated to education. Donations from developed countries to least or developing countries can also be utilized. Organizations such as UN and UNICEF can also collaborate with other stake holders to ensure that quality education comes into existence worldwide. Giving private sector or individuals a sustainable politically indusive atmosphere to invest in the education sector can also be a start for financing quality education.
