Explain your idea in details:
My aim is basically to work in line with the four specific pillars being social, Human, Economic, and Environmental that will help me achieve my target in line with the suitable sustainable development goals. The objective that I wish to attain with this project would be first acquiring a farm land and allocate in into long term, medium and short term greens. The greend will be a variety that will help us reach out target goals e.g (1) long term- Mukula trees, lemons, oranges, tumarid, baobab, avocado, moringa and many other locally and non locally grown trees.(2) medium term - Bananas, tomatoes, potatoes, and others. (3) short term - herbs, flowers(roses etc),spices and so on . These will be grown the respective sections. Of course will not be grown at once only the long term will but the rest will be grown in accordance to the research done on the basis of which season they grow best it and will be made available in different forms on and off season(dried) as they will undergro a preservation process. The various greens will lead to an end products of skin care ( masks, scrubs, oils lotions, shower gels, anti aging, strech marks remover, etc) ; weight loss or management; Detox drinks; Herbal juices; Immune boosters ; Virginal tightening/ sweetening juices just to mention but a few. Introduction of various greens even those not known to be grown in Zambia will be made available through us and wide research the team will be conducting, this will also help the local communities be exposed to various agricultural and irrigation methods aside from the common one which is slowly leading us into drought due to changes in weather patterns. We hope to grow national wide mainly in rural areas for developmental purposes.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Being a strong advocate of involving the undervalued community whose potential has not been put to good use lead me to choose poverty, industry, innovation and infrustructure(SDGs) respectively to be married with the four pillars. (1)social - that idea is based on a social network aspect. Society today has realised there is confidence boosting in feeling/looking good and healthy , its not only for the physical aspect but mental aspect as well. The Green Transformation project will cater for people needs in terms of natural/ organic skin care products , hair products, immune booster juices, weight loss/management products and so much more . (2) Human- This idea will incorporate less privileged people to enable them have a shot in life through employment. We can also view this as an empowerment program towards a sustainable development in that packages will be provided for workers for there children to give motivation talks and activities so as to give them a picture of working hard and a life outside poverty through education and innovation( Recreational facility). (3) Economic - the project requires man power as well as machinery . our target is to promote local products . one thing i have noticed in my country Zambia Is that we rely so much on imported goods 80% if not more of our products are imported causing a major deficit and accumulation of debt leading to hyper- inflation. This move will enable money to continue being in circulation within the country whilst advocating for production of high quality locally produced goods like ours . (4)Environmental- this idea once enacted will require a lot of planting both long term and short term of different green families. This will not only benefit the company but the environment as it will help with the climate change and reduce global-warming.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
First thing first, i would love for the company to be registered (family business) so that we won't be penalised for Tax avoidance or evasion and its a good way we would also contribute towards our economy through payment of our taxes and provide a security for our workers. The Green Transformation key stakeholders will be dependable on ministry of health , ministry of housing and development, spas, retail and wholesale outlets, kiosks, hospitals, Farmers, youths, my Family. This platform is my hope towards financing this idea to became actuality and gaining necessary training and mentorship would be a plus. I would love to work ministry of community development towards making our recreational centres to be a success to empower and motivate people in the rural settlements as a lot of them have not being exposed to a good live aside from hardship.
Am 23 year old female, a last born of four girls born and raised in Livingstone and a mother of one (son). My father is a retired consultant and my mother is an entrepreneur, they contributed (motivating factor) towards my career path. I completed my studies at the copper belt university with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Whilst at school i was in my sophomore year a tutor for Zambia institute of chattered accountants ( ZICA) coperbelt university chapter for the freshman in Mathematical Analysis and later in my fourth year I became an events coordinator for an association of BBA known as copperbelt university managers and accountancy association ( CUMAA) . Apart from my academic achievements I also engaged in some entrepreneurial activities by selling a wide range of commodities to my fellow students from. Clothing to cosmetics, to skin care products, to perfumes, to blankets ..you name it . I sometimes called my self jack of all trade because ..... "I noticed a gap and I bridged it" I am passionate about leadership because I always want to ensure everyone is making good use of their capabilities and resources and a humanitarian driven which motivated me during my study to conduct a research on " poverty Reduction through socio-economic empowerment programs:Feminist perspective." And resulted into a successful thesis. I enjoyed the known phenomenon so much that i have now decided to put what on paper into practice by taking bold baby steps through utilising of various platforms and opportunities like this one untill all is accomplished and beyond for the good of all mankind regardless of their status.
