Explain your idea in details:
Albert Einstein quoted, everybody is genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid. This means each one of us is unique and can make a difference. Thus in this project, we aim to bring positive change, alter the traditional way of teaching, and influence children and youths to enjoy learning, as well as helping them to build their profile and inspiration. We, therefore, encourage the participants to be engaged and work on their inner potential through a range of innovative activities which are games (puzzle, Lego for children, images, and videos), team works, outdoor activities, IT, and visiting memorable places. We also form them through leadership, entrepreneurship programs to enable them to think about how to be an entrepreneur and to be financially independent. This project has to be implemented in Nosy-be, Madagascar wherein youths are less engaged in education. The two-third of the youth population are school dropouts, and they focus on earning easy money and disregards the importance of education. It is a devastating situation, and it has to be changed. Youths play a major role in the development of a nation. Educating youths to contribute to country development. Thus the YLC program will allow them to think about the future and work on their dreams. Furthermore, the objectives and goals are to empower and inspire the young generation through leadership programs, to work on youth assembly, and to create a circle of open interaction in a view to discuss and overcome the constraints and any matters that limit youth efforts to thrive in society. Over and above, this program is not limited to youth empowerment but also we aim to extend to parent mentoring and organize frequent workshops.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Our target audience will be the youth including the teenagers, school leavers, students, and those who seek employment, children, and youth in the rural areas as well as the parents. I ascertain this project is a life-changing event for me as a founder and for the beneficiaries. I aim to create something different. As I have been taught to follow one-way cursus of formal education, at school students were not engaged in extra-curriculum activities to promote the creativities. They taught us to learn our lessons by heart and pass the exam. Hence, YLC will engage in youth empowerment programs and encourage youth to learn and exploit their potential through a wide range of activities to make this impact possible.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
YLC aims to inspire the young generation to be a better leader with great vision. We, therefore, use informal education to help our targeting audience to develop their inner talent through different activities to promote creativity, and we propose low-cost services so that the entire community can benefit. Over and above to implement this endeavor, we need collaboration and partnership with various stakeholders such as my team with different background of education, experiences and expertise will work together to bring maximum inputs and have the same vision which is the improvement of quality of education, seeking partnership with organizations, applying for grants for funding and collaboration, calling for the voluntary works program, and seeking for potential investors.
