Empower The People Initiative

This initiative seeks to empower people adversely affected as a result of the pandemic as lots of people have lost their means of livelihood, and are struggling to get back on track but are financially incapacitated. Poverty, hunger, malnourishment has ravaged the society menacingly which will have an adverse effect on the society if not mitigated, as there will be Increase in crime rate, food cessation, Under development, Abject poverty, Illnesses and Diseases as a result of malnourishment, Hunger pangs due to absence of food security and several other innumerable vices if sustainable means are not being devised to nip it in the bud before it blossoms. This project is fashioned towards people living in the grassroots areas like the ghettos, slums, hovels with poor living conditions as these quarters are often the most neglected in terms of basic amenities, developmental projects, sustainable goals, infrastructural upgrades and life opportunities that makes the society more livable, and conducive for the inhabitants. This category of people are not often oppurtuned like their counterparts living in the urban and outskirts of the society which is often the hub of activities and opportunities. The people are to be empowered by being taught life skills that can serve as a source of livelihood to them, be their field of expertise, broaden their knowledge, widen their scope of learning, become a career for them. This would teach them the art of self reliance and to be self dependent. The skills to be taught would be in varieties to enable the participants opt for the one that suits them best. Example is, Tailoring, Catering, Baking, Fashion Designing, Digital Marketing, Photography, Interior Design, Events Decoration, to mention but a few. The participants can even establish themselves by starting their own business upon the successful completion of the program.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
It is targeted at the unemployed people in the society who are finding it difficult to make ends meet, those who live in the grassroots areas of the society to empower them with life skills to liberate them from poverty and guarantee their financial security, improve their living conditions, make the society more livable for them, ensure their social inclusion, while contributing to their success and positive growth. The success of the program will be measured using Analytics (dimension, metrics, conversion) to critically analyze the impact and effectiveness of the program, and evaluate the arrears to be improved to ensure the smooth execution of the project and to ensure the purpose for which it was established is met.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
It is an initiative for the good and betterment of the society and humanity at large. For the implementation process, vibrant positive change enthusiasts will be appointed to meet and collaborate in planning the initialization of the project, its coordination, execution and all other phases not enunciated. Funding grants proposals will be written out to potential donors like Companies, Organizations, NGOs, Humanitarian foundations, Charity homes, Institutions, for the funding of this initiative so as to cater for the financial expenses and also boost the publicity and general outlook of the project.
