Spirituality Can and Will Bring the Long Awaited Peace
Explain your idea in details:
If I wish to define spirituality in my own words, I would simply say, its something that talks about us, the humans. Theistically speaking, I believe Creator didn't make us the best amongst the creation for no reason. We all human were born to fulfil some purpose on this world, a life mission that's just as unique as we individually are. But sadly, the lack of self-love got us stuck to some evil orthodox pattern of toxicity, which is killing people's soul long before their physical body expire. Allow me to rephrase it differently. If the psychological aspects of unhappy people are taken under consideration, we will see them complaining. As in they were running from one to another materialistic metrics to find true happiness, but still felt empty. There is this idea of "perfection" that kept people so deluded, that at times they get so blinded to achieve power or some sort of a superiority in order to receive love and approval, that they end up hating themselves when they fail to get that power. Like, people forgetting their own soul-purpose only to AVOID painful judgement. Jimi Hendrix once said, When the power of love will overcome the love of power, the world will know peace. I truly believe in that saying. And indeed, true love starts with loving oneself. If were able to practice self-love from such a young age, maybe we won't grow up as such judgmental, envious, jealous, nihilistic or narcissistic adults, but will know to work out and appreciate our difference with love and appreciation, as EMPATHS. I've tried designing my project in a way, that'll put up a mental vaccination into peoples psyche, so they succeed in finding and executing their true purpose on this worldly life, irrespective of any social pressure of false expectations.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
I've planned my project as a part of the SDG of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. I wish to raise strong individuals mentally, psychologically and spiritually, who will lead to a peaceful generation. Like I've mentioned earlier, at such a young age, well put such a strong psychological shield of worthiness inside children, and also create a safe enough environment for them to learn and cultivate the knowledge of empathy properly. It's not a very uncommon phenomenon, when we see people having distorted mentality for being raised in disturbed households. No human is born with default errors or personality disorders. It's social norms, unhealed friends and family members, hurtful events and traumas- that shape our personality. But due to this shaping, it's not necessary that we decorate our personalities with faulty virtues or personality disorders, which basically starts from feeling INSECURE, NOT ENOUGH, or with a deluded feeling of FALLING SHORT somewhere. Of course, what events we face in life is out of our hands. But deciding to solve it in an effective and healthy way is for sure within our controls. I designed and wish to execute the project in such a way so that the children grow up strong, and also the parental generation gets a safe enough place to ask for support to help themselves, for a better future, only to end the toxic cycle of "perfectionism" once and for all. The children will be given enough support to find their true purpose and work on it, so that no more bright soul dies long before their physical death happen. Of course, it'll take A LOT of time to bring about a revolutionary change, but I do believe honest individual efforts actually has the power to make it happen.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
As a part of the project, the academic syllabus of every elementary school all over the world will be modified. A subject called "Practicing Spirituality" will be introduced, which will contain Seventy Percent of the annual marks. The promotion of a student will be highly dependent on the marks of this subject. This project will make the children enrich themselves spiritually with the greatest of human virtues, find their purpose, grow as empaths, protection themselves against inner demons and also have better abilities to deal with rejections and failures, so that they never feel like life isn't worth living or that life is unfair. There will be a "Spiritual Support Community" who will go to school to school, just to help execute, supervise and observe the impact of the program. This project will set the kids in a competition of "Being Better Humans". Here, I'm simply trying to use the instinctive competitive nature of human into something good. Indeed, its been proven by now that, we become what we believe ourselves to be. As therapist Marisa Peer says, "Even if we lie to ourselves about ourselves, at least we should tell ourselves better lies to protect our potential from going to vain". I'm simply trying to make a great use of this strategy, that is using our mind to motivate ourselves enough so that we can stand firmly on our purpose and serve it properly. My project being on the conceptual phase, I honestly don't have any funding. I need organizations like UN, peace leaders and empaths to help me here. But what I will be doing in here, is to be the leading member of the "Spiritual Support Community" and observe the efficiency of the project worldwide, keeping things under supervision and provide help and observations wherever necessary.
Greetings. Im Nafisa Amin Hridi, a university student in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Dhaka. Both my parents are professors in the same university. Born in twelve-may-nineteen-ninety-nine, I'm a twenty-one year old Bangladeshi Sunni Muslim. During this quarantine, I must say my life just turned upside down. I'm perfectly fine but a few of my relatives died due to the COVID-19. All these made me rethink life as I started questioning myself about living a more fulfilling life. Speaking from my personal experiences, I was a patient of clinical depression, having suicidal thoughts. I also made suicidal attempts once. But when I got life back, I simply realized life is too precious to be wasted, just because of hardships. So, after that, I decided to transform myself, tried finding my faults and personality disorders from the inside, so that I can be a better and more purified version of myself day by day. I started journaling, and also started jotting down my methods. Being a writer by hobby, I started making journals of what and how I thought things to be right, that were wrong all along. And the most importantly, I've done ALL THAT BY MYSELF. I've self-examined, self-purified and tried making my subconscious mind FOR me. Now that I've learned it, I also want to spread the same seed into other peoples heart so that they can also live their life to the fullest as better, purified and healthy humans. Ancient philosophers like Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Lao Tzu, Buddha and modern speakers like Marisa Peer, Jay Shetty, Prince EA, Trent Shelton, Simon Sinek, and are my biggest inspirations, all of whom tried or tries teaching us how we can purify ourselves better.
