Targeting Physicians' Burnout- Physicianscentral.com

Stage of Idea conceptual stage, planning stage

Explain your idea in details:

Physicianscentral.com is my idea for a website that tackles a common yet dramatically overlooked problem in the health profession: physicians burnout. Burnout is a term that refers to the poor mental health of physicians due to demanding work hours and extensive responsibilities. It comes with many consequences including an increased risk of malpractice and poor care which can drastically endanger a patients health according to many studies conducted. This website will address physicians mental health through a series of self-care exercises including guided imagery meditation, breathing and stretching, and mindfulness tasks. It will also connect them with resources to expedite any time-consuming work- in and out of the office- such as healthy meal services and databases to find scribes to ease the burden of paperwork. What differentiates Physicianscentral.com from other mental health websites is that it is tailored uniquely to physicians. The activities and services offered on the site will address physicians' needs and lifestyles specifically and will solely be open to physicians alone in order to foster a close-knit environment. Physicians Central strives to promote a healthy lifestyle amongst physicians, renew their enthusiasm for their profession, and provide a supportive platform for physicians to interact with one another in order to share stories, ideas, support, and advice.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

I seek to implement a survey on the website that physicians will engage in when making their accounts to take advantage of the sites offerings. In the survey, I will include metrics such as level of dissatisfaction with the medical profession, feelings of fatigue, and stress. These metrics will be on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being not at all and 10 being extreme. I will track how these metrics change over time by issuing the same survey within intervals of 2 months, 6 months, and a year along with a bonus question of whether the website influenced their mental health for the better. Over time, a measure of success would be to see the numbers from the surveys steadily increase over time, demonstrating the websites ability to meet its objectives. I will also use Google Analytics and monitor the activity on the forum to see the web traffic of the site and how many physicians are making use of the services offered. More than a concrete number, my target within the next 2-3 years is that physicians from every state of the United States make use of this website. Additionally, I hope to partner with at least 50 clinics and hospitals within the 2-3 year period.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

At least in the beginning stages of this initiative, I will develop the website using Weebly, a free website designer that provides a host of options and scope for customizability. This will be 100% free for me and will allow me to focus my attention on finding potential collaborators and sponsors. I will partner with local clinics and hospitals at first through social media and phone call outreach along with flyers. After gaining influence within my local sphere, I will branch out with the help of the contacts I meet in local clinics and hospitals. I will add an Accept Donations tab to the website and use the contributions from family, friends, and my network to run ads on the site and on platforms such as Facebook to raise awareness of the services offered. Through cold-calling, social media outreach, and advertisements, I hope to partner with more clinics and expose more physicians to the site over time. Once the website has a steady following, I will look for funding through a health-based organization to create a more professional looking website and to appeal to physicians all over the world. I plan on introducing a subscription service later on as the services expand and will charge approximately $3 a month to all users.

Your profile

My name is Krithika Shrinivas. I am from New Jersey and am 19 years old. Im currently a sophomore at Emory University where Im an Anthropology and Human Biology major and an English minor on the pre-med track. I hope to attend medical school and pursue a career in either psychiatry or neurosurgery due to my fascination with the human brain. I was inspired to create physicianscentral.com when I read about the adverse effects that burnout had on physicians and patients alike. I realized that this was an issue that wasnt addressed nearly as much as it deserved to be and decided to use my voice and passion for medicine to create a website that provided a safe haven for physicians. Apart from my vision here at Entrepreneurship Campus, Im a dedicated STEM student, writing scientific articles for my colleges medical review and founding my own organization, Physicians Project, to connect aspiring pre-health students with exciting, interdisciplinary opportunities in fields such as medicine, epidemiology, and public health. I published my own novel genetic sequence, available on the National Center for Biotechnology Information website and am currently a researcher in a Paleolithic Technology lab, doing computational analyses on stone tools. Along with science, Im an avid poet and have published my own poetry collection, Honeycomb: Dip into Words which is available on Amazon. At the moment, Im currently working on my first novel.

Hello,
I think you are doing well! Congratulations on your idea.
Young today, we are all called to contribute with our ideas, our projects, for the advancement of this world. Each of our ideas can bring change for our society. This shows the need to plan and structure our project ideas well. We must take care to think well and define our goals. Why do we have this idea? How will we do to keep it running? What impact will our business have on society? We must therefore put the emphasis on the structuring of our project ideas since, in addition to the presentation and realization of our project ideas, we must think about its sustainability and its contribution to sustainable development.
This is my support for you!!! Keep going with your idea!!

Hello, it is great to know that you are aiming to achieve SDG 3 Good Health and Wellbeing as well! Especially in times of COVID-19, it is critical for us to take initiative to strengthen the medical resources available to our community. We wanted to suggest a few tools to you, since we found them extremely helpful for remote collaboration. Basecamp is a virtual collaboration tool that helps you communicate with your team members about different tasks, while Notion is really useful when it comes to team-task prioritization.

Like you, we are passionate about helping improve the health of our community. As a team, we are currently producing and distributing masks to people in high risk groups for COVID-19. We would really appreciate it if you could give us feedback by commenting on our project entry at entrepreneurship-campus.org/ideas/28/18345/

Thank you!
Angela, Miru, and Sarah

I want you to understand that your support is very important to me and the people my idea seek to serve. Once again, to add to all my other comments on your idea, I am sharing with you further tips on traits of being a successful entrepreneur and how to acquire them.

If you are pursuing a dream for becoming a young successful entrepreneur you should know that there is no given recipe for becoming like one of the famous persons that inspire and motivate you all the time. However, there are some characteristics, which successful people share, that can be considered as the main ingredients or the salt and pepper of champion entrepreneurs.
History has shown that some people were at the right time at the right moment, while entrepreneurs have confirmed something else. No matter what the moment was, the ones who took risks succeeded.

According to entrepreneur.com successful people have the following traits:
Determined, Not afraid to take risks, Confident, Constant learners, Know how to deal with failure, Passionate about their businesses, Highly adaptable, Understand money management, Networking experts, Great at selling and promoting

Meanwhile, investopedia.com shares a list that includes these traits:
Passion and motivation, Risk taking, Self-belief, hard work and discipled dedication, Adaptability and flexibility, Money management, Business and market understanding, Planning, Networking abilities, They include failure in their plans and They kind of doubt themselves

I hope you will derive some benefits from this.

Greetings! Again best of luck to everyone!and here share encouraging words with all campus entrepreneurs intending to grow, it is important for us to sportively accept failures as different possibilities. As great entrepreneurs we have to do this and tell others they need not worry about failures. In fact the best of entrepreneurs do follow their ideas/projects at the cost of repeated failures, because every missed steps will get us closer to success.we must be willing to take certain risks,so that we learn from our mistakes and become capable enough to answer questions correctly to make investors feel comfortable with our dedicated ideas/projects.This shows us why if someone approaches us as entrepreneurs in future with an idea's project,we wun't immediately reject it as ineffective but work together in an innovative way by permitting him/her to think around the idea and determine if it really makes sense and if something goes wrong we wunt discourage that person, instead we will be grateful for learning something new, gain experience and learn from such meetings like this that linked us all here(entrepreneurshipcampus.org!)Thanks be to them again, for this campus has encouraged us all to take more risks by analyzing every aspect of that risk. You all are welcomed to view sustainable Mobile tap bartending cart, link

It is important to have a clear sense of mission. Think about who will it benefit, what difference will it make, and how are you going to go about it? It helps to determine the level of social impact in the short and long term and how it will be measured and evaluated. This will also help in reaching the right audience and identifying your marketing and networking strategies.
