Objectives: 1. To provide solar to the communities living in Malakal of Upper Nile State. 2. To provide solar power for business owners to run their operations in Malakal area. Activities: 1. Collection of application forms for the would be consumers in Malakal area. 4. Collection of the revenues for application for service delivery. 5. Connection to the respective premises of the consumers. 6. Revenue collection from the consumers on monthly basis. Innovative Approaches: As stated up here, the idea of this service provision and its size is completely innovative in a way that this approach is done from heavy machinery service provision that will be able to run small machines in the community to enable small business owners operate their businesses. It will include running machines like deep freezers, shaving machines, welding machines, wood curving machines and even wood-smoothening machines for small wood workshops in the community. In essence, what we are generating and giving to the community is just as good as the alternating current when converted using the inverter machines and regulated using the volt controllers as specific terminals to ensure that the community do not run out of the power supplies.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
3. To reduce the pollution of air and noise from the current small generators run individually in the area. 1. To create more working time for the communities working in the locality. 2. To create more time for learners to do their studies in a more conducive atmosphere and with flexibility. 3. To reduce the crime rates in the area that are associated with darkness of the night.
Sustainability and future plans
ABLE will partner with Phow Multipurpose Cooperative Society as an implementing partner to carry out the proposing activities. The finance of the organization will start flowing immediately we roll out the activities. Immediately the members start contributing their application fees with the enterprise, the money records will be set straight and banked. There will be regular/monthly reconciliation with the bank to ensure that the money received and banked is tallying with the records we have in the office records. All the proceeds from the monthly collections will be used to pay the staffs and maintain the system. In our projection, this money will be a lot comparatively and therefore, the balance after all the commitments are paid will not be disbursed to members a profit in the initial stages but would rather be used as a plough back to enhance expansion to other activities like expanding the generator capacity and new initiatives.
