Explain your project in details:
I founded Project Street School in Millennium Fellowship Class of 2019. In the period of just 2 months of the fellowship I approached to the local representatives of a community of Afghan Immigrants living Just outside the premises of my university and briefed them about my Idea and Plan of implementation of that project and convinced them to cash this opportunity for their childrens access to basic education. And the outcome was a dedicated place given by locals for running school for their children who were not going to any school because of their poverty and negligence. After finalizing the location and other required supports I started an awareness campaign and motivated my fellow university students to support me in the cause and gathered a group of 50 energetic and passionate volunteers including 9 other Millennium Fellows and we started our working by teaching around 30 male and 40 female students, basic subjects and weekly based ethical awareness sessions. But that was not that simple. In these 2 months I made a complete hierarchy required to run a school and four teams worked in their domains to make this project executable and workable which are: Human Resource Team Administrative Team Security Team Marketing Team External Relations Team Finance Team That structure helped me to make it possible to run an Impactful School- a model which could become the base of a very strong idea of giving education to 260 million Children in the world not going to school.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
Street School has impacted the community of Afghan Refugees in a marvelous way as the community is feeling the fragrance of love and hope when they realize that students of Pakistan's best Institute are trying to teach the children of most underprivileged families as a volunteer work. The response of such love can never be hatred but peace and harmony not only in that community but also between both the countries (Afghanistan and Pakistan) if the Voice of our Project is raised. This Project has opened a pathway to achieve SDG-1 (No Poverty), SDG-4 (Quality Education) and SDG-10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Sustainability and future plans
Currently I have started a single school Impacting a community of about 1000 refugee Families living in the capital of Pakistan but by marketing that beautiful model and it's impact, I am planning to involve motivated and passionate student volunteers from 162 other universities in Pakistan, Just like I did at my own University to create 162 more street schools in the same way I did beside my campus. Which is difficult but Possible with Government and International Organization's Assistance. And in the future following the similar hierarchy same set ups of such schools in other countries having large number of out of school children like Liberia, Sudan, Nigeria etc., can also be developed to make it the Best social work Project Produced by the University Students ever and a role model for all International social welfare organizations working to save the humanity.
Your profile as an entrepreneur
After I completed my high school education, I went to Agriculture University Faisalabad, Pakistan for further studies. But there, I became non-serious regarding my studies and got involved in student unions and that bad attitude became the reason that I was dropped out from college. Then I realized the fact that how sternly I ruined my time and for 2 months I remained in severe shock. But then with the support of my Family I decided to continue my studies again and got admission in another college in Attock, Pakistan. For 2 years the only thing I was doing was studying approximately 18- 20 hours a day and, I topped in Pre-Engineering in Attock District and then got admission in Topmost Engineering University of Pakistan in my desired field of civil Engineering. That is how I rebuild my reputation in my society because everyone knew that Faizan changed himself with a continuous and energetic struggle. So, when I started thinking about my history and went into depth why I was dropped out and got in the situation full of pain and loneliness, the answer I got was the environment of illiteracy Pakistan's education system have in her institutions. So, feeling the depth of pain of those who might be the next victim, I decided to do something in this regard i.e. to work for Quality Education. So, I decided to strive for the betterment of my society I am part of because for me the betterment of my society is basically the betterment of myself as I am a part of it.That is how I founded the Project Street School at the age of just 22 in August of 2019.
