Explain your idea in details:
Agriculture has always been seen by many as a profession for the poor and as a dirty job, so they shy away from it, and this is one of the reason we are currently facing global food insecurity. According to the "World Food System" in 2020, about 690 million people are going hungry and 135 million people suffers from acute hunger worldwide. The idea is to set up an integrated farm, where crops and animals would be produce. The animals would be fed with the residues from the crops we produce, while the crops would be fertilized with the animals dung, this will reduce the level of waste being produce during agricultural production, With this, people having the mentality that farming is a dirty job and that it's a profession for the poor will begin to find agricultural production interesting, attractive and at the same time lucrative, because waste recycling will take place and that will reduce the cost of production leading to higher income. We also aim at farming without the use of agrochemicals (synthetic fertilizer s and pesticides), which are detrimental to human health, we would produce only healthy and nutritious food which qi in turn improve the quality of life. Most people will never practice agriculture until it is done in a sustainable way, in ways that they will find it attractive, interesting and lucrative. The more the number of people that will find agriculture attractive, lucrative and interesting the more the number of people that will get involved, the more people get involve the the higher the production of food, and once more food is produce, people will have more access to food, and this will reduce global food insecurity and in turn leads to ZERO HUNGER.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
We hope to 1_ Get the youths involve in agricultural production. 2_ Create employment: We intend to employ people to work with us at the integrated farm 3_ Increase Food production, thereby reducing hunger and food insecurity leading to Zero hunger. 4_ Help the community in terms of infrastructures. When hunger is reduce in the society that's the only way we can tell of the impact of our idea, because for hunger to be reduce it means that high level of food production has taken place, for high level of food production to have taken place it means that more people have been involved (employed), for more people to have been involved/employed it means that many people now see agriculture as an interesting, lucrative and attractive business.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We plan on selling the crops and animals we would produce together with their by_products, as a source of income using the B2C business model. Lack of funding is our biggest threat, but we will keep sourcing for loans and grants until we are able to get. We will not wait until we have a huge sum of money before implementing the idea, we will start with the little we have and what we will be able to raise from friends and families who believe in us and our abilities, so that when we finally get a huge sum of money we will just use it to expand what we have already started. To ensure sustainability, our mission, vision and regulations will be well grounded and only what is contained in them that will be done, to serve as a guide and to prevent us from wandering about and doing something else.

My name is Ladi Bulus, I was born on the 27th of September, 1995. I attended Masihiyawa Primary School, Salvation international School, Federal Government girl's College Zaria and Kaduna State University. My only motivation is the trust I have in myself and my abilities, and that has brought me a long way. I am always positive and optimistic about everything, I am also very dedicated and committed in everything I do, I don't easily give_up, i keep trying and pushing until i achieve my set goal. I have received OCP Africa scholarship award from OCP Africa Fertilizer Nigeria Ltd, I have also received the "Best Graduating Student 2019/2020" Award and also another award as the "Entrepreneur of the year 2018/2019", both from the National Association of Agricultural Students, Kaduna State University Chapter.

Hello am looking at the number of votes you got for your idea and they are quite impressive. I would love to know how you managed to make it this far. Also the idea of global food insecurity for sustainability is something one would really take time to look into. After the Covid 19 pandemic, this is something one wants to venture in. Keep it up!

I have had a similar idea as yours, which I have implemented with a little success, main challenge being drought and lack of enough capital to deal with the drought challenge. however I applied for seed capital from MBELENABIZ in Kenya but I wasn't successful after pitching stage. impressive. agriculture is a good sector to venture into though it has it short comings but its remain the best as far as am concerned as there are ways to reduce the cost of production. Include hydroponic fodder in your idea. Good job

The hierarchy of strategies for reducing food losses and waste are in descending order source reduction, reusing or reprocessing surplus foods, recycle food as feed for animals, recover the energy as biofuels, nutrients as compost, or raw materials for industry, while as last resorts one may consider recovering the energy by incineration or dumping as garbage in landfills.
