Explain your idea in details:

Krishian creating opportunities for urban residents to grow fresh vegetables at home or rooftop spaces and without any prior farming knowledge. Already 54% population live in the city and In 2050 it will be 75%. And every year arable land is decreasing by 1%. The urban area has no or very minimum arable land so how urban population gets food? where 40% topsoil already lost in the past 40 years. We Krishian creating opportunities for urban residents to grow fresh vegetables at home or rooftop spaces and without any prior farming knowledge. We are trying to make citizens self-reliant to meet fresh food demand as well as the city. Also, krishian gives the opportunity to be a commercial urban farmer and get extra earning from unused spaces. Also by our platform growers can sell their exceeded produce to next door.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

We are based in Bangladesh. Now we are focusing on 9th the most populated city Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. Within 2025 our target is to build a 1M sft rooftop farm and create 100K urban farmers. Also will ensure fresh and toxin-free vegetable for every city dwellers.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

Our Business model is simple. We sell our own designed smart grow device. We build smart urban farms for the clients. Also, we sell growers' produce to the market through our e-commerce platform. We did a four-month-long MVP and got 23 clients and $5000 revenue. And we are re-design our product based on MVP results. And we are raising $500K to build 100K square feet farm and 100K users. We will make a partnership with the government as the Bangladesh government announced 10% household tax rebate if there is a rooftop farm.

I born on 1991 in Bangladesh. And I am a business graduate, with prior professional experience in both the telecommunication and banking sector of Bangladesh. I later entered the startup ecosystem of Bangladesh by launching as a founder in 2015, the first-ever online laundry service in Bangladesh. In December 2017, I co-founded, the leading animation studio in Bangladesh. I have served as the head of sales bringing in 100+ corporate clients in a span of year. I co-founded a freelancer marketplace in October 2018 and worked as COO, to drive operational growth and sales. In 2020 I have looked into the agrotech sector and founded Krishian, a hydroponic technology-based startup. Currently, I am working as Cheif Farmer at Krishian
