The main Objective of our business is to disrupt the organic spices industry in a different format by obtaining the best quality of organic materials by partnering with small or big farmers and working as a force together and create a massive supply chain for the B2B market. The activities we are indulged in currently is in a early stage of obtaining small quantity organic spices for our restaurant usages and we store a limited quantity for sales to other restaurants and customers in different packaging method. we source from three villages currently based out of the outskirts of the Tura town, Meghalaya, India. our innovative approaches that is mainly to create a healthy community for the farmers providing them the access of tools, knowledge and the right marketplace to give them the best return for their raw materials, secondly setting up of zone sectors for better collection and storage of raw materials eradicating the need of more transportation, thirdly the implementation of manufacturing plants in rural area where we can employ more villagers by educating them and working with them for the product authenticity.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
I believe my idea has a big impact in every sector mainly which is bridging the gap between the rural and urban sectors where we can be equal and collaborate with the farmers and the villagers to create a sustainable community and the implementation of the technology and tools and right market access to bring our product which actually is a great niche product in the coming years too for the health and food industry has been in a tremendous growth.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Our business model is actually divided in two parts the backend consisting of clusters and manufacturing plants in various zones of rural sector of Meghalaya, India. where we source and process and work collaboratively to make the product and the front end where a team shall be responsible for its marketing and managements and sales. Currently I am trying to bootstrap this idea on my own, I have worked on My packaging and have ordered the packaging's for a trail B2C and B2B platform where I have already started working with Three restaurants for continuously supplies and my kitchen team is working with me since they hail from rural backgrounds who helps me in processing and storing of the raw materials that we collect from three villages.
My age is 26, I hail from the tribal community of Meghalaya, known as the "HAJONG" tribe. To be honest a engineering college dropout kid, I started my first venture back in 2018, where I failed and lost my family's money. I feel ashamed of it when I think about it, I felt I am entrepreneur when I was in my last college year, following great success stories of so many successful entrepreneurs when I failed in my venture I realized I was not looking at the reality of this world rather the enchanting stories. After a year I started with a cloud kitchen in very less money and with time I knew to be an entrepreneur, you need to be a businessman first, further I had my entrepreneur training under KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES COMMISIONS which is a body under Ministry Of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, India and secured a loan to make a restaurant from a cloud kitchen in a year. A major success for us was the choice of using organic spices replacing the commercial spices for our dishes and hence we were making a difference in getting more customers from different age group who were more health conscious and since then the idea to use organic spices as a product came to our mind, the following idea was also selected in top 100 Entrepreneurs of Meghalaya under Prime Hub Meghalaya.
