Your profile

My name is Hellen Miano am 33 years old a Fashion and Design graduate of the University of Eldoret with a passion for youth empowerment and poverty eradication. My training career spans to 7 years, all of which revolve around training young adults in fashion and design skills. In this journey I have been employed by institutions and have trained many young adults who have now settled to becoming entrepreneurs while some have risen ranks in their workplaces. I relocated to Muranga in Central Kenya where I have faced problems acquiring a job in spite of my job experience and educational background, which has challenged me to think of what it must be for the many unemployed youths I see. This has motivated me to start my own business to reach out to at-risk youths who have not succeeded in getting any skills so that I can offer them skills that will not make them think of looking for jobs but will make them become entrepreneurs.

This is a noble idea and it will be of great help to many young people in the County and country at large. The unemployment crisis in our country can only be managed by having self employed and self reliant generation of youth.
