Explain your idea in details:
FeedLiberia is my business idea with which I'm certain to put an end to the age long problem of poverty facing Liberia. The objective of FeedLiberia is to eradicate poverty through job creation with focus in agribusiness. To achieve this objective, FeedLiberia will recruit local farmers, train them in agribusiness, group them into cooperatives of 5 members each at the initial stage. Each of the cooperatives will be given continuous training and consultancy supports to enable them maintain efficiency and effectiveness that will lead to the production of marketable quantities as well as increased job creation in the Liberian economy. These supports will be reduced gradually as a cooperative gets mature to handle its own affairs. There will be intermediate goals and efforts to achieve those goals. Like the goal to reduce the importation of frozen pork meat by at least 50% by 2030, FeedLiberia erected on a gradual basis a 10 room piggry farm from 2019 to 2021 March. Two pairs of piglets from 2020 January have now increased to 17. FeedLiberia targets to raise the number to at least 50 pigs including piglets by the end of 2022. In early 2023, the initial of five cooperatives will be established and each will be given a pair of piglets. These cooperatives will be given continuous training, consultancy, animal medication and partly feeling supports. By 2030, these cooperatives will have been fully grown up and supporting hugely to reduce market prices and the high import rate. There will be additional cooperatives established but will be based upon the funding supports as well as the financing strength of FeedLiberia. Based upon the gains made couple with FeedLiberia's strength in the piggery industry, increased attention of operations will be shifted to vegetable production.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The vision and target of FeedLiberia is to eradicate poverty by creating jobs with specific focus in agribusiness. This target will have intermediate goals and each intermediate goal might have slight differences in their supporting strategies from others. The first target of FeedLiberia is to reduce the importation of frozen pork meat to Liberia by at least 50% by 2030. This goal will establish at least five cooperatives constituting at most five members each beginning 2023 and each group will be given a pair of piglets. They will be given continuous training, consultancy, animal medication and partial feeling supports to allow them grow stronger with the ability to contribute more jobs and harvest marketable quantities for economy growth to achieve the 2030 target. This group of five is necessary because it will allow the targeted local farmers, who are already engaged in other farming activities such as rice production to feed they and their families, to well conduct their schedules for maintenance of the pig pans. They will also be able to organize their little resources for additional feeling of the piglets. Practically, FeedLiberia will measure success by gains it will make in improving the livelihood of it targeted local farmers from subsistence to merchandise farmers, the increased of employees, the reduction in the prices of produce on the market, the decline in the importation of like produce and the extend at which FeedLiberia can affect market prices. In short, success will be measured directly by seeing the living congratulations of the people. What they had and what they now have, where they were sleeping and where they are now sleeping, for how much they were buying and for how much they are now buying, how many persons FeedLiberia had as employees and how many she now has.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
As of current, this idea is been 100% financed from my pay check. In the very soonest future, I will search and apply for donor funding to support this idea. I will also work with government agencies functioning is such areas as well as national and international organizations with interest in supporting my idea. I will make sales of overly grown pigs to enable me support the farm and that of the cooperatives. The model and structure of FeedLiberia will focus on a Project Manager. Thou there will be other fewer staffs such as the Executive Director and others, FeedLiberia will be very strategic when it comes to a Project Manager. FeedLiberia will select and train on a time to time basis a member of the local farmers who will serve as the Project Manager. The Project Manager will then have the responsibility to train his/her peers in their local languages. Selecting and training one of their own will also achieve their confidence in the process and their willingness to express themselves and bring out issues they stand not to understand. This will also make it easier for beneficiaries to understand and interact since the medium of teaching is their local languages.

Jeremiah Kolubah Canmu is my name. I am currently age 32 and to shortly turn 33 by the 6th of July 2021. I was born on the 6th of July 1988. I am an accountant by profession. I hold a BBA from the University of Liberia, AA in Accounting from the Booker Washington Institute and a Certificate in Internal Audit and Control from the Liberia Institute of Public Administration. I currently serve as the Finance and Administrative Manager for Youth Crime Watch of Liberia, Executive Director for the idea, FeedLiberia, and the Founder and Strategist for Classic Beauty Saloon. My motivation about FeedLiberia is simply my anger that many people are suffering in Liberia and my anxiety to change the conditions of my people. I'm from a very poor family. I know what poverty is. I drank water and went to bed many times. I ate raw rice and went to bed many times. I sold bread, red oil and many others on my head from one community to another from age below 10 because of poverty. I saw the worst side of poverty in my life. What is irritating me now, I still see that same poverty that I know among Liberians which I believe it's my responsibility to fight against. This is where my motivation stands.

No man is happy in poverty neither is anyone pleased to go to sleep hungry. This is what confronts Liberia and I'm sure in other countries most especially Africa. I believe that we can do something about it rather than sit and complain.

Thanks for the thought James. It's brilliant. Our strategy to reduce supports for our established cooperatives actually intents to enable us establish more of the groups to help provide jobs and food for the citizens. Our resources are limited and may therefore not be able to financially support all the entities throughout. But with technical support, we will.

Hello, I think agriculture is important to feed human hunger but there should be a balance in terms of technology and others vibrant economics to strive.
In Maslow Law ,it states a man needs is 1 shelter, there is a roof over the heads or a house or a unit
2 transport -bicycle or bus or a car
3 clothing
4 food
5 social and recreation
these are the balance a human needs and when any one of these is not met, the structure of the persons is crumple.
Economics is about building a structure or a business to make money and it is hard when there is nothing to sell. That's why when I cannot sell . I build things for my own use such as bicycle, clothes line ,peg apron or folded shopping trolley.
I hope I can make clear not just focusing on agriculture but others sources of revenues to sustain the while running the agriculture.
