Its a known fact that Cassava is Gods gift to the tropics because it can grow in poor soil with inadequate rainfall. The starchy roots of cassava are a major source of food for more than 700 million people all over the world. It has universal applications. Agro-Cassava Processing intends to contribute its quota in closing the large demand-supply gap in the production and distribution of cassava products.it ranks the second food stamp crop in Africa after maize increasing the demand at both international and local market. More so,many feed millers are demanding for the Dried High Quality Cassava Peel (DHQCP) mash because its cheaper and as efficient as the maize substitute. To thrive in the business as a new entrant, creativity and innovativeness in farm management, quality control, effective garri,starch and beer production and efficient delivery of dried high quality cassava peel is necessary. Branding and packaging of these products expected to be diligently explored and exploited.This venturing is objected In producing and packaging of high-quality cassava products,creation of employment for the youths within the business environment and market leadership position in innovation, quality, and pricing of cassava products.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Our patented innovative mobile processing technology will change the way cassava is perceived, grown and processed in Malawi. Instead of transporting the perishable roots over long distances,we process fresh cassava on-farm or nearby. Our mobile technology results in zero waste. 100% of the cassava root is utilized. Mobile concept essentially will overcome three main obstacles to the commercialization of cassava transportation of roots with high water content. The transportation of roots with bulky irregular shape. The rapid perishability of the root once harvested. our venture will create job opportunities to all levels of education from both youths and adults,skilled and non skilled persons for it's effective operation, foreign exchange from exported Processed products to other countries,source of raw materials from supplied raw materials to industries,creation of eco friendly and digital products for both international and local markets,reduction of poverty in many parts of africa and global level in particular and reduction of famine in many parts of africa as well since these products will also be available at international level at affordable prices so that every potential customer has an access to our products.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We have done a well derailed market research and feasibility studies and we are able to come up with a well situated land for implementation of our project.Finances will be generated directly from the customers who consumes cassava products,from companies who uses our products as raw materials and from the exported raw materials and on investment,we have managed to invest on experimental trials on how this production can be effectively overcome commercial challenge.we have managed to connect with Agricultural commercialisation of Malawi(AGCOM).zuka Africa and Lilongwe university of Agricultural and natural resources to partner with.
