Explain your project in details:
The main challenge of DigitARCH is to simplify the way for managing, studying, and protecting the Building Heritage. Nowadays, it is not easy to make researches or find complete information about Building Heritage. It does not exist a public database, which collects metrical, material, and historical information useful to create complete documentation about it. These buildings are expressions of our culture and, for this reason, they are so precious. So, it's very important to protect the memories of these monuments forever and to study them for improving the knowledge of ourselves and our culture. Now, we have the technologies to do this in a fast and efficient way. Using a Laser Scanner it is possible to acquire the data to construct the digital copy of these buildings. The 3D Digitalization contains all the information useful to create a complete documentation of the Heritage and permit to save their 3D Image forever. All the 3D Digitalization will be saved in a database accessible through a public web page. DigitARCH could be the reference point for monitoring, researching, conservation, valorization and promotion of the Heritage.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
DigitARCH can easily satisfy a great part of social needs. Knowledge: To study the architectures using these data can lead to a deeper knowledge of the cultural heritage in addition to a faster promotion of this Heritage all over the world. Safety: The cultural heritage can remain safe and accessible to the future generation because a digital copy of it will be saved forever into digital archives. Accessibility: Starting from the acquired data, a virtual copy of the monument will be created to simplify the fruition of information about it. Control/Management: To have metrical and chromatic data and Hi-Res pictures can simplify the management of the cultural heritage, by contributing to a better planning for future interventions. When DigitARCH will be developed, it will be useful for many purposes: Users (university, researchers, etc.): could use it for research studies to have high knowledge of these great architectures. Local Authority: could use it to improve the management and conservation process and to promote the Heritage Buildings all over the world. Private companies: could use digitARCH to optimize the planning process and to develop products based on this data (3D models, 2D Drawings, augmented/virtual reality applications, games etc.).
Sustainability and future plans
It is difficult to estimate the total market value of this project. DigitARCH has a big "cultural component" that is inestimable. By the way, some of the products made from 3D digitalization are part of fast-growing markets. For example, the 3D scanning market should have a Compound Annual Growth Rate of more or less 30% from 2018 to 2025, such as the virtual reality and 3d printing market. We are in those markets since 2015 and we have seen a steady increase in our company revenue during these 5 years. We started digitARCH in 2018, and we made the pilot test in 2019. After that, we evaluated the feasibility of the project in local and International contests obtaining excellent results. Now we are looking for public or private institutions that believe in our project and that can help us to develop it in terms of investments and facilities. This project is titanic, we know it. But, in our opinion, what makes us unique is our culture and we have an obligation to try to save it forever.
