Explain your project in details:

Educators spend up to 50% of their time managing student data, preparing reports, and performing other routine administrative activities, which takes up their time makes it difficult for them to focus on teaching. Moreover, creating reports for a large number of students, analyzing them, and providing precise feedback is a complex and time-consuming task. And when all of this is done manually on paper, the process slows down even more. As a result, educators productivity decreases, and they have to spend more time gathering data, formatting spreadsheets or manually developing paper reports. IntelliED is a lightweight digital platform that provides easy data management & analytics for schools, helping them improve the efficiency of grading and reporting. IntelliED is powered by a hybrid AI, Machine Learning, and analytics-based approach that brings the most meaningful insights to the table. Users just need to enter the data points, and our system will automatically generate insights and reports, saving time by eliminating the requirement to develop reports manually. These insights will allow educators to acquire a holistic view of students make more informed decisions, support students struggling in the classroom, and foster a Data-Driven Decision-Making environment. Apart from this, schools can offer our built-in Social-Emotional-Learning surveys & psychometric tests to their students to ensure that their environments are safe, supportive, and equitable & can profile students based on their learning styles and personality types. Users may effortlessly install our app on their existing devices, and school systems are spared the expense of purchasing new hardware. Not only this, with just a few clicks, educators can share these reports with students, counsellors, parents & school admins. In essence, what takes hours to do, can now be done within a few minutes with IntelliED.

Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

With not much marketing, we were able implement our pilot program with several institutions from our community. We currently have 20,000 users registered in our database, including students, educators, and school admins. We have a count of 3700 daily active users who visit our application at least once a day. Our partner institutes have recorded a 60-70% decrease in the time spent in non-teaching administrative activities. Educators admit that they now spent more time in teaching & other beneficial activities, due to which they recorded a 5-11% increase in student performance. Furthermore, schools noticed an increase in parental involvement in their children's education in cases when parents installed IntelliEDs app to view their child's detailed reports. As for our impact goals increased academic progress, improved student behavior, reduced student absenteeism, and more parental involvement are all priorities for us. In the long run, we aspire to attain increased retention of students, higher success rates, and low dropout rates for our partner institutes. In the general context, IntelliED helps schools devise support strategies for students, reduce human reporting errors, eliminate the use of paper, simplify their work & modernize the campus experience by making them smarter, safer, and more efficient. Apart from this, IntelliED project was a national finalist at Microsoft Imagine Cup 2020 under the Education category.

Sustainability and future plans

Our current business model is a B2B subscription-based model, in which our product is sold directly to K-12 institutes/schools and other educational institutions with either monthly or yearly paying periods. We currently provide three pricing plans namely the basic, standard and premium, and institutions can switch between them at the start of their new paying periods. Besides this, institutes occasionally seek extra functionality based on their requirements. We also set up customized modules for our clients and charge extra for this service. We have not yet received any funds, and we are currently covering our expenses with the revenue generated from initial sales. We've only been in this business for less than a year and till now have onboarded 20,000 users without any marketing budget or sales strategy across different districts. Shortly, we're planning to go for the seed funding round so that we can expand our team and our services nationally. Our long-term goal is to reach 1 million students and teachers from our community by the end of 2024 while simultaneously preparing for global expansion. In the coming years, we also wish to expand our feature set by adding functionalities that appeal to a wide range of users. For example, we'd like to add more regional languages to our platform, and we're also considering adding a text-to-speech feature for a better user experience.

Your profile as an entrepreneur

I am Adhyansh, from New Delhi, India, currently the Project Lead & Team Lead for AI- Data Science division at IntelliED. I have graduated from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology with a bachelors degree in computer science. I was a member and then the senior coordinator of my college's Entrepreneurship Club during my undergraduate studies. During my tenure at the club, I collaborated with other members to support the growth of innovation and entrepreneurship among students by establishing an entrepreneurial culture in our institution. We held several seminars, inviting experts from successful startups to share their stories, and we assisted students in obtaining financial and other resources for their startups. I was invited as an international delegate to the Stanford's Student Entrepreneur Submit 21 and was winner of annual entrepreneurship competition of my college. Apart from this, I was the winner for the IBM Hack Challenge 2020 and Runner-up for IEEE-Oracle Hackathon 20. The joy of creating things and offering a valuable service to customers is just untradeable for me. When the service helps people and improves their life even by just a small bit, that sense of satisfaction for me is limitless. Also, that missionary zeal together with the joy of learning, as I navigate new challenges and opportunities keeps me going through the long hours. In general, I'm motivated by opportunities to solve problems, and I like to challenge the status quo. I at times tend to over-work, over-execute and enjoy experimenting with different strategies. I'm extremely motivated by freedom and the opportunity to write my own story, which is why I believe I have this foundation that compels me toward entrepreneurship.

Seamless integrations will allow your application to deliver data from unconnected applications into one central platform. By creating a unified data source on student engagement, everyone -- teachers, technology coaches, and curriculum leads -- can feel confident evaluating the digital learning strategy.

Staying connected is more crucial than ever as we recover from an educational catastrophe created by the corona virus epidemic, which derailed the education of millions of children. Fostering connection and communication by bringing together teachers, students, and parents to create amazing/incredible classroom/school communities will benefit all.

I really liked the aspect of your idea where parents can look at their child's overall performance as often as they want without having to wait for quarterly in-school meetings, so that when parents meet teachers in person, they can work together to develop the best plans for their child. Keep up the excellent work!

If your software could do something like: for students who miss school on a specific day, AI could pull up the lessons that were given on that day and automatically assign them as tasks on the students' dashboard so that they stay current. This, I believe, will greatly benefit students who are unable to attend lectures on a certain day.

I feel you are on the right track, but as a recommendation, you may focus on personalisation, content aggregation, teacher professional development, thorough student profiling, among other things as your future prospects to improve the utility of your application and make it more powerful for your partner institutes.

According to research, parents' involvement in their children's education helps reduce absenteeism, enhance student behaviour, increase student motivation to learn, and improves grades. Your platform will make it easier for parents to participate in their children's education. I wish you the best of luck.

Many parents are uncomfortable conversing in the language in which their children are studying. As a result, if you can build a text translation capability, you'll be able to cope with cross-language obstacles much more quickly that will in turn allow parents to be involved in their child's education. All the best!

@Eliya Matias, We provide our own servers to host the application for schools with IT infrastructure that isn't compatible with our application or schools who do not have IT resources. Although IntelliED can be installed on a client side server (partner institute), the client will be responsible for all maintenance and security activities, hence client-side hosting is not recommended.

November 1, 2021 21:28

@Juan Diablo, I agree to this context that students are individuals and not some data points but we see it in a slightly different manner. At IntelliED, we believe that some of the tell-tale signs a student could be at-risk are non-attendance, a drop in grades or failure to submit work at all. However, these problems viewed in isolation across several different classes or departments seems to just individual data points with no relation with each other can sometimes be easily missed or overlooked. But together and when viewed holistically, they can paint a picture of a student who is struggling with classes or perhaps even something in their personal life. At IntelliED we believe that by safely bringing this holistic picture of students (in form of data points) to the right person at the right time, we can make right decision earlier in the learning progression. I hope this answers your question!

November 1, 2021 21:23

@Prince Takache, IntelliED is accessible in two versions: web and mobile. The Android and iOS platforms are supported by the mobile application. Our application is compatible with any modern device and does not require any special hardware

Your project is truly amazing. It will assist instructors in collecting useful data on student interactions, identifying efficiencies through reports that indicate patterns, and turning data into actionable insights. With your application educators can spend less time reporting, and more time teaching. Excellent work. Keep up the good work!

The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.

Your idea is very smart and practical.

Due to the nature of tasks performed in a schooling environment, I suppose systems like this are to be hosted on large servers and should be operational the majority of the time. While many schools have the IT infrastructure to implement these solutions, what about small rural schools that lack the infrastructure to implement these high-tech solutions? Best of luck in your venture!

Juan Diablo

November 1, 2021 16:33

Your approach sounds great but my concern is when it comes to holistically examining students performance, what are you going to do in terms of making decisions about them as individuals rather than data points?

November 1, 2021 14:38

@Sonia Arai, At IntelliED, we provide free installation i.e., clients do not have any installation cost. Secondly, you do not have IT staff costs because firstly it is very easy to maintain and even if something happens, we will take care of it for free and our talented and hardworking client-support team will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible. So, your maintenance costs are zero.

November 1, 2021 14:32

@Dorj Chettri, I agree that different schools have distinct needs based on factors such as institution size, type, location, and so on, and that not all schools utilize the same software. IntelliED is a software that is based on a standard architecture but is also capable of encapsulating external modules. And, on occasion, when our partner institutes want additional capability, we create customized modules for them that are integrated with IntelliED standard architecture and can be accessed from a single application.

Sonia Arai

Digital solutions can be aggravating at times, such as when instructors are in the middle of a critical procedure, such as assigning grades via a digital application, and the software crashes. You can not expect teachers to debug the application on their own in this situation, and they are virtually helpless between the time of the crash and the time it's fixed.

Dorj Chettri

November 1, 2021 12:10

My personal experience as a primary school teacher in Bhutan has taught me that, when properly implemented, these types of tools can help educators save time and simplify their work, but different institutions have different requirements. My concern is how a digital solution with such a standardized architecture can be a one-size-fits-all solution.

October 31, 2021 18:53

@Anirudh Krishna, Since the beginning of time, educators have always been involved in data collection. Even before the development of advanced technology, they have been tied to data, from collecting marks, attendance, and assessing every student on result day. Furthermore, present circumstances indicate that technology will play a significant role in influencing education and will be a valuable tool for instructors. The most essential thing is how we, as entrepreneurs, educators, and school administrators, use and design the power of technology to support our decisions. I accept that, despite the fact that many organizations offer digital solutions in this space, educators still have trouble figuring out how to use the software to carry out their everyday administrative tasks. As a result, an application supposed to make work simpler really makes it more difficult. And it is for this reason that we developed IntelliED, a lightweight, simple-to-use platform based on feedback from field personnel.

October 31, 2021 18:39

@Gurmeet Singh, I completely agree that information about students, teachers, school administrators, and educational institutions is extremely sensitive. IntelliED has pledged to collaborate with educational institutions and to deal with student data in an ethical, transparent, and collaborative manner. Furthermore, we employ professional hosting services that employ industry-standard SSL encryption to ensure that data is transmitted securely between the customer and the data center. Furthermore, the data of the institution will be safeguarded by top-of-the-line internal security encryption keys, and the tokens used at the back-end will ensure that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information.

A fantastic tool that not only aids in the development of stronger teacher-student relationships, but also gives a platform for parents to get more involved in their children's education and improve teacher-parent connections.

Anirudh Krishna

October 31, 2021 09:02

There is a widespread belief that digital solutions that profess to assist educators increase their productivity and save them time actually make things more complicated and difficult. Because not every educator is a tech aware individual who understands how to manage a system as sophisticated as this, a circumstance like this will make things more difficult rather than easier. How will you tackle this type of audience?

Tarun Singhania

October 30, 2021 19:32

I believe that our product will undoubtedly relieve educators of much of the paperwork burden. It will not only increase teacher efficiency, but it will also broaden the scope of what they can do in a typical classroom, where they are frequently weary while preparing reports.

October 30, 2021 16:18

@Kiran Sabastian, Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback on this project. As far as our mechanisms our concerned, at IntelliED, we believe that insights gleaned from student related data can help schools intervene before a problem has the chance to become a serious issue for them and their students. If a student fails their classes, placing them on academic probation at the end of a semester does not help anyone. But by sharing certain learning analytics between professors and advisors throughout a term, steps can be taken to prevent the student from failing in the first place i.e. With the right data and software program (one like IntelliED :) ), institutions can set up an alert system based on the reports and insights extracted from available data that notifies a student advisor if students are having any kind of problem. The advisor can then intervene and try to find a solution, which is a much more proactive approach compared to just letting a student fall through the cracks. I hope this answers your question!

October 30, 2021 16:10

@Peer Mamgain, First and foremost, I appreciate you taking the time to assess the project and provide your valuable feedback. To answer your question- Students, teachers, and administrators leave an endless trail of data throughout their time at their institution, this information can be used to gain insight into their performance - both at a high level (entire institution) and a granular level (individual students). Data Analytics allows a teacher to measure, monitor, and respond, in real-time to a students understanding of the material. With data analytics, there is no need to rely on blind faith when making decisions. So, when we say we will assist institutions to build a Data Driven Decision Making culture, we mean that schools will always have numbers and statistics to back up their decisions, which can lead to better outcomes for both the institution and the students.

Pankaj Prajapati

October 30, 2021 12:02

I believe that by integrating numerous data sources in a smooth manner, institutions will be able to transmit data from disparate applications to a single central platform. Everyone - teachers, technology coaches, and curriculum directors can feel confidence evaluating the digital learning strategy by providing an uniform data source on student involvement.

A tool like this can also help students stay on track because there is always a lot going on at school and organizing your work with class folders and other things can be challenging at times.

Thomas Akin

October 29, 2021 21:07

This is an excellent application. Would greatly assist teachers in providing individualized feedback to a large number of kids in an effective manner, as the current paper-based procedure is extremely slow and inefficient.

Educational institutions are owned differently in each country. Some institutions are privately owned, while others are run by the federal or state governments, while others are part of a group institution, such as a network of schools overseen by a single governing body, and yet others are run by NGOs and other similar organisations. What does your market look like from a business standpoint, who are your core consumers, and what will be your growth strategy to expand your business are some critical questions to answer in order to design a strong business plan. Best of luck in your endeavour!

October 29, 2021 16:09

Despite the fact that many companies provide digital solutions in this field, such as Learning Management Systems or Student Information Systems, educators still struggle with manually formatting spreadsheets and moving data into visualisation software. Your mechanisms sound complicated, but if you can create something that even a non-technical educator can utilise without difficulty, you'll have a considerable advantage.

Manak Pal

October 29, 2021 13:59

An application that allows parents to review their child's performance as often as they like and with useful insights can have a big impact on student achievement since it encourages parents to be more involved in their child's education. Keep up the good work!

Kiran Sabastian

October 28, 2021 20:31

As an educator myself, I agree that providing precise and personalized feedback is a cumbersome task for a class having large number of students. However, what is the mechanism you guys are using to identify and help students struggling in the classroom?

Manshuk Atarchali

October 25, 2021 22:14

I admire how you're focusing on students' Social Emotional Learning and attempting to figure out how different students with various personality types learn. I agree that schoolchildren will not be able to lead a successful professional life unless they are encouraged to pursue all roundg development rather than a sole focus on academic performance.

Batti Menon

October 25, 2021 19:14

Revisiting the education environment across different countries indicates that there is no institutional structure to allow students to express their emotions of depression and stress openly. There is an alternative concept of education which is getting recognition slowly worldwide, which is Conflict Resolution Education- popularly known as CRE. Was wondering whether something similar to CRE can be achieved using your application.

Supriya Maniktla

October 23, 2021 21:35

You must be using some type of technological infrastructure to record, store, and organize information as you work on a data analysis application, so it is easy to discover what you need. i.e., instructors will be able to find information more quickly. Because the data is all in one location, there is no need to sift through dozens of files and folders to get a single report, which speeds up the process.

Katherine Fernandez

October 23, 2021 19:10

A small suggestion: You might want to check at social learning analytics, which is targeted at examining the function of social interaction in learning, the value of learning networks, and the discourse used to make sense of things, among other things for students. I believe it can seriously benefit your application and provide intriguing information about learners.

Omar Mukhtar

October 23, 2021 14:42

The project looks promising. It's fair to believe that learning analytics can support student success, and can create an ecosystem where both teachers and parents can work together to devise the plans that best suit their child.

October 21, 2021 08:13

I've gone over your project, which is a program in its early stages with a lot of potentials. A brief question: What do you mean by creating a data-driven decision-making culture in an educational institution? Best of luck!

Prince Takache

October 21, 2021 07:18

Current technologies in similar disciplines occasionally necessitate specific hardware. I'd like to know if you have a mobile version for every type of device in general, and if there are any specific requirements for using it on a personal device?

Gurmeet Singh

October 20, 2021 20:37

Students', educators', schools', and other educational institutions' data are classified as highly sensitive. Security breaches at educational institutions have been on the rise recently, according to experts. Data privacy and network security are no longer options; they are a necessity. I'm interested as to what steps you're taking to safeguard & secure sensitive information of your partner institutions. Good luck with your competition!

October 20, 2021 20:03

@Robin Mohpatra First and foremost, thank you for your insightful feedback. To respond to your question, IntelliED is built on a hybrid Machine Learning and Analytics platform that is utilized to extract insights from student data. You can not only anticipate a learner's likelihood of completing a course using IntelliED, but you can also predict other factors like percent chance of dropout, projected Attendance percentage for the future, and a student's preferred learning style, among other things.

October 20, 2021 20:00

@ Vladimir Kuskhuf, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your essential insights. I totally agree that IntelliED can also be implemented to assist educators prioritize their day-to-day activities, which will simplify their work and save them time.

Robin Mohpatra

October 17, 2021 14:16

Is it possible that the methodology/technology you're implementing can forecast a learner's chances of academic success and course completion? If yes, to what degree of certainty are you alluding?

Vladimir Kuskhuf

October 17, 2021 13:43

The insights gleaned from student participation across different sectors can help educators and schools admins to decide where, when, and to whom we should allocate more time and resources. Great effort. I wish you luck in your future.
