Divine Favor Lattice Foundation
Project Details
Explain your idea in details:
Divine Favor Lattice Foundation (DFLF) is the name of my project. This project was mainly established as an NGO which is interested in assisting children (underprivileged, needy, poor, orphaned) in the community, whose parents are deceased or disabled and financially unstable, to access quality education and help them secure a better future. The foundation also seeks to provide vocational education and mentorship aid to young adults (school dropouts and teenage mothers,) who would want to learn a trade/skill but are unable to, because, they do not have the financial support. This project is meant to eliminate the barrier created by poverty between various social classes within society. Currently, ten (10) children have been enrolled in schools under the umbrella of this project. And we wish to add more as and when the need arises. This is because when these children and the young adults get this education, they will become responsible citizens rather than a burden to the community, the nation and the world at large.
Read MoreExpected impact of your idea on sustainable development
This project is solving the needs and problems of its beneficiaries in the sense that, already, ten (10) children have been enrolled in school and are given all necessary materials they would require to study, which includes taking care of their fees, providing them with educational materials (exercise and textbooks, pens, pencils, erasers, bags, shoes, belts, etc.), coaching and mentoring them to become a better version of themselves. This has helped reduce the number of children roaming the streets aimlessly within the community, children going to galamsey sites, and child labor. For instance, a young girl who was used to selling charcoal has now been enrolled in school by this foundation. Also, nine and above children who have not been to school for a very long time, have now been enrolled, again by this foundation, which we believe will help them obtain more knowledge and be responsible citizens as they grow up. Hence, teenage mothers and school dropouts who are not working can now get something doing, which will give them some form of income to enable them to carter for themselves and their children.

The vision for this project is to create equal educational and vocational opportunities for all, thereby eliminating streetism, and creating value in every child and youth. Hence, looking at how to sustain this project going forward, we shall keenly monitor their attitude towards schooling as well as their class and exam performances. We shall be organizing workshops that will be centered on the need for them to be educated, take their studies seriously and certain critical values of life that they need to imbibe, as these will help them as they grow. With regards to financing the foundation's activities, we shall solicit external financial assistance by reaching out to various companies, other NGOs, and kind-hearted individuals; while we ensure and intensify the regular payment of monthly dues by members and executives of this foundation, to enlarge the net of this foundation and register it as well, making it more official and legitimate to operate.

I am a 25-year-old lady born in,1997. I'm the first of four (4) children of my parents. Currently, I am a Mastercard student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, reading BA. Sociology. Being in the hottest coat and knowing how hot it is, I always love to assist those who are facing difficult challenges. I try giving out my best to help the helpless. What motivated me was that I got to know that no condition is permanent. And that it only takes a little effort and small help to reach your desired destination. having four siblings to look after isn't something to joke around with. However, I am encouraged and highly motivated to be a motivator, a Mentor a Mother for all, an Advocate, Advisor, and Accountability-oriented. Trustworthy, Tenacious, Truthful, Transparent, Task-oriented, Leader, Loyal yet Lowly, Lovable, Law-abiding, and Lifter up of many heads Divinely gifted, Dutiful and Determined, Desirer of good things for others, Ambitious and Advancer of a noble cause, and Achiever of great things despite obstacles. I received an award from the Mastercard Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to read BA. Sociology. An award from my Municipal head (MP) for my consistency as I contested the 62nd Independence Day quiz. And am looking forward and hoping to receive my first honor award for my foundation from your institution. Thank you

This is an awesome idea, God bless you for wanting to touch the lives of people who are amongst the most vulnerable in society. I believe that this project has the potential to go very far and to contribute to the development and success of many needy kids in Africa. I call on anyone who can, in anyway to help support this initiative. Thank you.

Matilda's idea is simply wonderful. Coming from a poor family, I really understand what it takes to conceive an idea of this sort to help equally underprivileged people.
I think she needs the best of support to keep the foundation from getting defunct. There are many people out there who really need to be supported.
A statement from her that touched me most is when she said "And that it only takes a little effort and small help to reach your desired destination." Some people are deprived just because they didn't get that little help.
Thank you.

Your project is excellent one for those underprivilege to help them acquire education so as to solve personal and societal problems. This people will also fit into society and also help someone who may have same situations.

It's good to know that there're still people who don't only think for themselves but also for other people as well. Everything will eventually come together, just keep on pressing.
