DawaPap
Project Details
Explain your idea in details:
The value for Mortality rate, under-5 (per 1,000 live births) in Kenya was 41.10 as of 2018, while the rural and urban death rate of Kenya as of 2022 is 5.379 generating a growth rate of -0.650%. Majority of health care facilities in Kenya are far below the international standards of health care due to limited resources. The private clinics for inpatient care are few and primarily located in Nairobi with very few of them in Mombasa. While Nairobi and the central province have access to below standard levels of health care, the North-Eastern province is even more under-developed. Now that's where we come in as DawaPap. DawaPap aims at: 1. Delivering medicine and doctors to patients across the country both in rural and urban areas due to late arrival of medicine or no access to healthy living hence Reducing Mortality rates. 2. Providing awareness to all societal members on how to live healthy lives. 3. Creating employment opportunities both to youth and adults in the society. 4. Reducing air and noise pollution, this is by the use of electric bikes and bicycles for fast penetration of the traffic jam. 5. Contributing to the country's GDP. DawaPap will involve the following activities to its employees and society at large: 1. Teaching the drivers on road signs and safety measures to reduce amount of road accidents hence reduce mortality rate. 2. With implementing the idea of changing work into fun, demonstrating on the Road Safety Day. 3. Contributing cash to help the poor. 4. Partnering with other delivery firms like MYDAWA to help us deliver awareness to the society at large and doing community voluntary work. 1. Building a website and an application that'll help the societal members make orders online. 2. Coming up with a section where we'll be incorporating doctor's articles.

The objective of my project can be bifurcated into two sustainable development goals: SDG 3, Good Health and well being and SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth. It also has a touch of SDG 13, Climate Action, taking . It will primarily target rural and urban societal members cutting across all ages who do not even have access to quality medical attention, and then slowly scale up to East Africa. DawaPap will offer employment opportunities which will in turn help employees earn cash and improve their living standards. The mortality rate for air pollution in Kenya was 78 for every 100,000 people in 2016. The rate was 60 for every 100,000 deaths in 2012. Globally, air pollution causes about 24% of all adult deaths from heart disease, 25% from stroke, 29% from lung cancer, and 43% from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the WHO estimates show. Through the implementation of electric bikes, which are the future of transportation fast and reliable, assisted and nature friendly, air pollution will be the least of our concerns. Honestly speaking , Post COVID , many of peoples jobs were replaced with technology to improve production and reduce expenses. This has led to a number of unemployment in turn led to idling and drawing into drugs. Peace has been lost ever since. DawaPap aims at offering people descent paying jobs. Road shows, demonstrations and flexible time lines will be catered for. With the Improved contents directly from Doctors posted in our website and application, punctual delivery of drugs and doctors in case of any order or emergency, will give access to Good Health and well being of our customers.

DawaPap seeks to raise awareness in all areas and social spheres about the importance and the need to live healthy lives and aims at delivering pharmaceutical products to each and every society member both urban and rural who has purchased the product in time. Through our able team of DawaPap miners who'll be health related experts, they'll be able to recommend the right meds for the relevant illness. Onto DawaPap's business model, the pricing and cost of the medicine will be quite cheap to cater for each and every class of the society. Though we do focus on profits, DawaPap will act as an intermediary between the Pharmacies and Hospitals. That's we make partnerships with the Hospitals and Pharmaceuticals to offer us a contract on delivery of pharmaceuticals and doctors to the patients or the ones who ordered so patient can spend time and money on transport to and from. From the money the patients pay for the doctors and drugs, that is where we earn our cash from. Then as per the contract get the pay for each firm. We'll use the electric bikes to transport the products and since DawaPap aims to run 24 hours, we'll be doing work in rotating shifts (day and night). This aims to maximize sales and profit placing the customers needs in front. We'll need licenses, offices etc. Our Financing sources will be from Loans from Banks, Shareholders and Our own contributions. We'll collaborate with other companies like Glovo , other medical delivery services and entities and MYDAWA to help in the community services. The whole society of Kenya will be our target market and expenses will be: 1. Employment salaries 2. Deployment of new transport facilities 3. Recruitment of new staff.

Love the idea of Dawapap it's really encouraging to see that young entrepreneurs have taken an action on the sdg number 3 which is "Good health and well being".kudos!!!..At least one would receive medication even in the interior whilst one traveling to the pharmacy or hospital.

A wonderful idea that needs to be implemented because through this many people will be able to have access to the medication they need and save those from interior areas the stress of having to travel long distance to access these services.
