Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

I hope to reduce the amount of trash the fashion industry is creating. So much fabric is being wasted when so much labor is spent on creating them and when there are people in need of items created from fabric such as clothes and other supplies. I want to minimize the effects these trash have on the environment, create new items out of those trash and provide those new items to those who are in need of them through this idea.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

To begin with, Id like to collaborate with bigger fashion organizations or fashion brands such as H&M. H&M is known for collaborating with multiple organizations in order to achieve renewable fashion, and a big brand like this would be a big help to advertise my idea and future products. It would also help to create a stable financial basis to maintain my idea. I would also like to work with National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP https://www.nccp.org/) to help donate school supplies and provide financial support for students. This idea will use solar energy to obtain the electricity needed to sanitize the used fabric. It will also hire designers who are capable of implementing this idea, but have no economic stability to use their skills.

I was first inspired by Hong Kongs Novetex Upcycling Factory, which is a factory that turns used cloth and fabric into thread to create new clothing. I thought I could revise this and attempt to create unique and artistic items out of used fabric that people will be willing to purchase and use.
