This project aims at addressing skills development of 50 out of school youths (drop outs, young graduates), to make them aware and train them on overcoming complexities to earn a decent living. Project specific objectives and activities: 1. Enhance skills development by empowering out of school youths with sustainable skills needed for them to strive in this fast growing economy. Activities: - Increase access to high income generating skills - Train and build capacity of 50 out of school youths 2. Promote youth entrepreneurship and enterprise development. Activities: - Enhance entrepreneur skills development of 50 out of school youths - Develop innovative ideas in to business sustainable projects 3. Identify and sensitize stakeholders on the role of skills development of their children. Activities: - Sensitization meeting with different stakeholders on the importance of education - Influence and develop policies that will favor young people
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
This project engages 50 out of school youths; drop outs, young graduates/professionals, aspiring change makers and stakeholders including; parents, school authorities, church leaders, women group leaders and local youth groups on focus group discussions and training workshop on entrepreneurship aimed at enhancing skills acquisition. These workshops will empower and train 50 youths annually with soft skills needed for their employ-ability and self-sufficiency. Also, we will sensitize 50 stakeholders on the need for youths to acquire sustainable skills and be educated. - Increased literacy rate by 15% - Increased employment rate by 15% - 50 stakeholders will be sensitized on the importance of soft skills development - Increased self sustainability and business establishment of 50 out of school youths by 80%
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We shall deliver a range of services for the benefit of her clients as innovative as possible to ensure services are fit for the purpose of the future which centered on; promoting entrepreneurship, enthusiasm, youthfulness, personal growth and community development skills. Engage through more sustainable operationally and financially by leveraging the support of local councils, delegation of youths and civic education, civil society organizations, already existing business establishment and international fundraising campaigns towards making this project a longer term mechanism beyond the life cycle of the project with the broad vision of empowering 500 youths annually from each region of Cameroon.
I am 27 years old Cameroonian who hails from the Northwest region, born and breath in Kumba, Southwest region of Cameroon. Passion driven in providing solutions to problems plaguing my community through human & community development programs. Trained community health worker with four year's experience working with community health center's and not for profit organizations; in the provision of curative and preventive healthcare services to mother's, children in Kumba-southwest region Republic Of Cameroon. In 2020, founded Lucien Inspires Mentoring Program Series (LIMPS) LTD a social impact company legally registered in Cameroon whose vision is effecting positive change and revitalizing youthful potentials through; leadership, empowerment, counselling, development cooperation, and international youth symposium strategic programs. In 2021, was appointed Cameroon's Country Director of WORLD YOUTH SUMMIT NPC working in close collaboration with the executive board members in the establishment of the objectives of WYS NPC. In 2022, was appointed Project Manger of MI NINA NGO in Kumba-Cameroon responsible for planning, development, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Mobilize resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed periodically.
