Cyber Citizen Forum for World Peace and Justice
Explain your idea in details:
Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter etc. have connected billions people of the world to each other. A similar kind of social media platform (say XYZ.org) will be registered and developed as a web portal, which consists of a web page for every existing country of the current world (recognized by United Nations). Any person who is at least 13 years old or older than 13 can create a user account as Non-Citizen Members of any countries other than his/her own countries in free of charge. For example, a Canadian person loves, traveled Nepal or has any connection with Nepal, then he/she can be a Non-Citizen of Nepal (say Nepaler- coined for Non-Citizen of Nepal). Similarly, he/she can be Thailander, Japaner, Braziler etc. of his/her choice in the web portal. A Nepaler can post his/her posts (message, photos, video) about Nepal on the Nepal page of the web portal and other users can react and comment on the posts as well share the posts on other social media. For example, a Nepalese citizen like me can be a Canadianer (Non-Citizen of Canada) and non-citizens of other countries, which I like. In this way, people of different countries from all over the world get connected to other countries of their choice by something reasons. Non-citizen members of a particular country are actually its stakeholders and can act as a soft power. Their post as opinions on current issues (e.g. Ukrain war) can help for maintaining world peace and justice. Moreover, through this web portal, a country can promote its economic growth attracting the countrys Non-Citizen members for tourism and selling products/services in international markets. There will be advertisements or paid contents for such promotions in the XYZ.org. In turn, earnings of XYZ.org will be used for world peace and justice.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Peace and justice are basic things required for human beings. Therefore, all of human beings living in this world are potential users of the proposed web portal (XYZ.org). However, the XYZ.org targets to 10 million users in the first year of its operation. Then, within next 4 years or the fifth years of operation, the web portal aims to have 1 billion users or 1 in every 5 people (grown persons that is 13 years and older), out of the world population. Within the past couple of decades, social media have revolutionized dynamics of the world. Social media have become powerful tools for political election campaigns, social changes, commercial marketing etc. Change is inevitable. People who are now users in Facebook, Twitter and other social media, they will seek changes soon. The proposed web portal shall be a good option for those change seeker cyber citizens from all over the world. The XYZ.org appeal to connect people for meaningful reasons, that is world peace and justice. Millions of people from all over the world in a common cyber citizen forum will definitely make impacts to achieve world peace and justice.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
There will be no any charge for the user account of the proposed web portal (XYZ.org). Users can post their text, photos, video, audio etc. But terms and conditions shall apply for the users. Users information will not be sold in any cost. Commercial advertisements and paid contents will be placed in the web portal, which will be main source of revenue of the web portal. In addition, the web portal can collect donations for humanitarian causes and a small fraction of donated amount will go to the web portal company. However, the company will be of non-profit type. Its all earnings after operation and maintenance costs will be used for global humanitarian needs that shall help to achieve world peace and justice. Domain registration with suitable domain name is the first step toward the mission of Cyber Citizen Forum for world peace and justice. Development of a web portal is technically not a big deal. However, I need a team of IT professionals and some investments to start a company that owns the proposed web portal. Anyone interested to join in this mission can contact me for collaboration.
I am an average person, of 49 years. By profession, I am Environmental Manager, working in a government organization of my home country, Nepal. However, traveling is my greatest hobby. I have always fascinated to see new places and meet new people since my childhood. This idea of the Cyber Citizen Forum has been originated from my travelling experiences. I prefer to introduce myself as an avid traveler or a travel expert. Beside travelling, I love to read and write.
