Explain your idea in details:

We select young entrepreneurs/Innovators with groundbreaking ideas for an annual program designed to grow businesses and position them for seed investment. The YES-Hub Accelerator/Incubation is a Three-week program that runs after every Four-month in Nigeria. Our team and panel of judges select promising civic-minded startups for this business boot-camp, in which entrepreneurs/Innovators receive access to business support, mentorship, and our investor network to better grow their businesses/Ideas and be positioned to receive investment. Our mission is to promote entrepreneurship and ensuring a platform for the youth to nurture their Business ideas, while creating Business Leaders of tomorrow through knowledge, mentorship and access to investors. Our vision is that at its core, YES-Hub focused on enlightening and engaging young Graduates towards Social Business for their personal development and community engagement.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

Target Groups, In the Nigerian context, youth are classified as those between 15-35 years of age. The YETP is designed to address this population; however, the ideas apply to almost all Nigerian entrepreneurs. The program is envisioned to be taught in a variety of settings through seminar/workshops and boot camp. YES-Hub aims to provide basic training in business development skills and essential entrepreneurial leadership training through our Youth Entrepreneurship Training Programme (YETP). The YETP consist of seminars, workshops as well as boot camp programs that can be adapted and supported by a variety of economic actors working in different contexts to promote entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

Great initiative but I have some questions :
1. About the trainers: I think it's necessary that the trainers had an entrepreneurship background because to understand the problems of a young entrepreneur, you have to had encountered those problems. Even if the trainers are good manager/accountant, there's a huge difference between working for a company and leading a company.
2. You planned to get fund by grants, but how to you plan to maintain the business. Partners won't give you money everytime and if you don't have income, later ou sooner, the company will close its doors.

Thank for sharing your idea and don't hesitate to look mine.

Youth empowerment is a laudable initiative. But how do you intend to make profit and sustain the business? Knowing well that profit maximization is the goal of every business.
