Published on April 7, 2016 um 12:14

Explain your idea in details:

Geeks foundation Ghana (GFG) is a youth led organization made up of, ICT technicians, School dropouts. Street children, deprived youth, Brilliant but Needy, craftsmen: masons, carpenter, fashion designers, Hair dressers, Auto mechanics electricians, and informal apprentices etc, and is seeking a 5-year contract to implement the for Employment (YEISDE) program. YEISDE is designed to create economic opportunities in Ghanas informal sector for disadvantaged youth. YEISDE will directly reach at least 20,000 of these youth with training in technical, life and/or entrepreneurial skills leading to employment.YEISDE will apply an integrated youth across the informal value chain. and will leave behind more capable institutions and create a model for youth employment a success in informal that will be sustained after the project ends.Ghanas young people face one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world. Yet, the local informal sector is booming and is poised to create 300,000 new jobs by 2021. However, to be ready for these jobs, youth will need relevant technical skills recognized certification of them; entrepreneurial and job readiness skills; and networks, contacts and referrals. Others in the sector will need increased capacity and incentives to create new openings for youth. YEISDE targets 17-24 year old youth in four of Ghanas Tema and Volta a. The program seeks to achieve: Increased employment (including self-employed) Increased coordination and support for a better enabling environment Activities are organized into five components: Youth Readiness for Employment and Entrepreneurship Access to Financial Service Providers Capable of Serving Youth Access to Demand-Driven Training and Service Youth Enterprise Start-Up and Recruitment by Employers Collaboration for Positive Government Policies Partnership includes:Geeks Foundation Ghana- (GFG) Natnorvis Technical Engineering Centre-(NTEC) Marico Marketing Ghana (MMG)Root Remedy Solution Consult- (RRSC) proposal is to collaborate with NGOs and Development Partners,the developement of my country though the youth entrepreneurship;

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

As part of the overall marketing strategy, we shall engage in focused differentiation strategy to offering services designed to appeal to the unique preferences and needs of the beneficiaries. high quality training service, the training package will be offered in these categories: -The unemployed youth will be trained for a period of six months to one year for basic skills which may help them with the needed competency to be self-employed and have access to employment opportunities.- Master craft persons shall be offered up their technical and managerial skills to be more efficient -The apprentices in the various skills training engagement will be introduced to more structured instructional training that will bridge the gap between the school based and workshop based apprenticeship. They will be offered technical skills training, entrepreneurial skills, health and safety courses as a top difficulty and also qualify them to secure jobs in both the private and public sectors of the local economy. Those who have the ability to progress further may be encouraged to do so.-mentioned problems have been identified:finesses and employ other people. This will help reduce poverty and YEISDE has the ability to provide a -skilled short training programs ranging one week to four weeks to sharpen their mind -up to help them create their own jobs with less-Ghana.Limited access to capital is an important constrain for operators working in the informal sector. Lack of skill, education and training are also impediments to the informal access to technology and poor infrastructure. As a service entity in YEISDE, the Informal Apprenticeship is poised to take out of the street Children who are selling dog chains and vendor works which make them not contributing meaningfully to their lives. Also thought of implementing a consultancy, analysis, advice and development projects office for the youth,

Plans for implementation and sustainability

No one ever said it was easy being an entrepreneur. Whether you're in the early stages of your start up, just secured funding for your startup or you are ready for product launch, there will always be those three components when you ask yourself if this whole entrepreneur thing is worth it. Instead of giving up and throwing-in the proverbial white towel, keep your head up and look to the following 50 quotes to inspire and motivate you during those tough patches....

good luck

No one ever said it was easy being an entrepreneur. Whether you're in the early stages of your statrup, just secured funding for your startup or you are ready for product launch, there will always be those three components when you ask yourself if this whole entrepreneur thing is worth it. Instead of giving up and throwing-in the proverbial white towel, keep your head up and look to the following 50 quotes to inspire and motivate you during those tough patches.

1. The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. Its as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer. Nolan Bushnell, entrepreneur.

2. "Do. Or do not. There is no try." - Yoda, Jedi Master.

3. To any entrepreneur: if you want to do it, do it now. If you dont, youre going to regret it. - Catherine Cook, co-founder of MyYearbook.

4. Its not about ideas. Its about making ideas happen. - Scott Belsky, co-founder of Behance.

5. Ive missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. Ive lost almost 300 games. 26 times Ive been trusted to take the game's winning shot and missed. Ive failed over and over and over again in my life and that's why I succeed. - Michael Jordan, NBA Hall of Famer.

6. Theres nothing wrong with staying small. You can do big things with a small team. - Jason Fried, founder of 37signal.

7. Ideas are easy. Implementation is hard. - Guy Kawasaki, founder of AllTop.

8. If you just work on stuff that you like and youre passionate about, you dont have to have a master plan with how things will play out. - Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook.

9. "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." - Chinese proverb.

10. Never give innever, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

Good luck to everyone

i once again read through your project and i see that you can make change really,Excellent, thanks it helped a lot! It was exactly all I needed. It was motivational, instructive, with a lot of histories that really help to understand about entrepreneurship. The major characteristics of a successful entrepreneur is that he is making money and the business is growing under him. My ideas and perspective has been changed by this project and i guess i have got a long way to go. My work and i are different entities and i shouldn't let any form of failure get to my head. Entrepreneur is truly a means to an Bernard carry on make the great change it challenge face it and fix it!!!

April 27, 2016 21:20

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

April 27, 2016 21:19

Hi bro

Courage doesnt always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow..
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. You must do the thing you think you cannot do..

that is what i will peruse ....i will forever be grateful for your words

April 26, 2016 14:01

ooh Dotse

i love your encouragement note..i thanks you very much ...

April 26, 2016 13:57

Hi Bernard
People dont take opportunities because the timing is bad, the financial side unsecured. Too many people are over analyzing. Sometimes you just have to go for it.
so please fight on hard in making the great difference as you aim in the community ...

April 26, 2016 13:55

hello Bernard
i leave you these in your project

Nobody talks about entrepreneurship as a survival, but thats exactly what it is and what nurtures creative thinking. Running that first shop taught me business is not financial science; its about trading: buying and selling.

be Great

we love your brilliant project..

April 26, 2016 12:32

Hi Bernard

i really love the act of securing some financial support for the youth who will undergo the training..Winning the trust of banks: to convince the banks and other financial institutions to join and support your vision will also be the true success of your project..but note:what if the banks do not really understand the real concepts of the project and decide not to support how do you go about implementing the project..
on a good note it a great idea which need total support..
take care and be yourself..

April 25, 2016 21:19

To any entrepreneur: if you want to do it, do it now. If you dont, youre going to regret it.
It is the thing we dont accomplish in life that we often regret the most. Cook implores you to pursue your ambitions rather than remain inactive and later in life contemplate what might have been achieved if you had done so.

Good Luck!!!!

April 25, 2016 21:19

The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
Lombardi offers great sporting advice which is applicable to all areas of life. Irrespective of your personal ambition; if you persevere and work diligently, you can achieve pride in your accomplishments.
we wish you all in the compettion

April 25, 2016 21:18

One of the huge mistakes people make is that they try to force an interest on themselves. You dont choose your passions; your passions choose you.
Jeff Bezos encourages young entrepreneurs to work out what inspires and drives them most in life and pursue it. Entrepreneurs cannot make other peoples passions and ambitions suit them.
so never give up on your self

April 25, 2016 21:17

Hello Bernard
The best way to predict the future is to create it.
You are the orchestrator of your own fate. Work out what you want from life and go out and get it, otherwise it will not come to you.

be great

April 25, 2016 21:15

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
Planning will only get you so far. You need to go out and achieve your success. No-one is going to hand it to you.

April 25, 2016 21:14

Everyone should pull their finger out and start a business and to believe in themselves. There is nothing else to it. Anyone can make a £100m. But most people dont go out and try. They just stand in the pub and complain.
If you never try, you will never succeed. If you dont believe in yourself, how can you expect other people to believe in you? If you act with confidence and determination, you will accomplish more and inspire others to invest in your future.
take care..and keep the good work

April 25, 2016 21:10

hi Bernard

Everything started as nothing.

Dont be discouraged by the daunting task ahead of you. The famous quote, Rome wasnt built in day, bears great relevance here. Work diligently and greatness will come. Dont expect it on day one!

It time Africa to shine and bright and have sound security of job and other related amenities the youth in country will need...looking at your idea on the YEISDE it really going to also help most of these youth who have completed school with no placement,,,talk less of getting a good job..believe you me that, you will get more of them to partake in the training program and will be equipped with technical skills for the market...because according to the National vocational Institute- NVTI database of informal apprentice is increasing each and every day not less than 5% every 3 month..with your project i believe it really help train more of these you and get employed with skill they acquired...great idea

with regards to the testimonials being awarded to trainees is one thing i very critically looking at, because it does not serve a good purpose to the youth at all,i have also affiliated with the NVTI who are a Government Institution and they have even awarded to about 300 members of the organization who Artisans,,,thanks so much for interest in that ares of work...may God Bless you

April 19, 2016 10:49

Hello Bernard,

There is a need to cultivate in every growing person the habit of preparing his future for tomorrow, because looking at the informal sector youth the rate at which they are trained and offered what we called Testimonial which to me it is not and prudent,,,so please try as much as you can to make sure in terms of certification for youth after being trained is secure with a certificate coming from City and Guilds or NVTI or the international accredited firms..with no sense of doubt i think you are on the right track.........

Reducing poverty is always essential to ensuring a better world. With this great idea it aims to do that and that is amirable.A few things to look at you stated a training program of 6 months to 1 year for unemployed people, what will be put in place to keep these people to actually stay for that time given that if they find a means of income they will leave therefore shorter courses need to be looked at.There are many other people on this forum with similar ideas networking with them will be of great benefit to you all to pass ideas and collaborate. Also in terms of sustainability emphasis being on revenue, look at how you can use the crafts created not just to sell to your local market but also internationally.Websites such as Etsy can facilitate this.Overall a great idea and I wish you great success. Please take the time to check out my idea UrClickcast care and continue with the great work.

Apprenticeship in the informal economy offers many-more young people an opportunity to learn a trade and
enter the world of work.

April 9, 2016 16:15

A good skill education is the key to a better life and a stronger economy. A persons earnings increase by 10
percent with each year of school they complete. Women with higher levels of education have healthier
children. And increasing the average level of higher education in a country by just one year can add half a
percentage point of growth to support let make this work .....thanks to you all...........
