Jamdani Paris

Published on July 29, 2016 um 17:09

Explain your idea in details:

Jamdani-Moslin these fabrics are the traditional identity of Bangladesh. In fact, these are the symbols of sophistication. These traditional components can play a big role in international fashion world, which will help us to achieve goal as partnership between two countries and gradually it may become more. In one sentence my idea is to export Jamdani and Moslin fabrics to Paris because Paris is the heart of fashion but these two traditional and sophisticated fabrics have not found there yet. By exporting them we achieve our goals, which are-to introduce Bangladeshi tradition in international fashion world and to give the village weavers a sustainable livelihood by earning foreign currency. However, to introduce these fabrics into international fashion world my idea is to contact with the fashion houses of Paris as well as the local fabric markets. Thus, I can bring my Jamdani and Moslin to Paris fashion market. Here, my idea is not to present Jamdani and Moslin as Saree but to present them in a way of western cultures. Thereby, it fulfills our relation of partnership to achieve our goals.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

If my idea generated in real world, it will be helpful for the relation of partnership between Bangladesh and France because France is already known for their fashion sense and if these two traditional objects make this fame more higher than before then this bond of partnership will become more strong and sustained for the development of both partners. By creating sustained partnership, Bangladesh can bring back their heritage in full swing and the demand of Jamdani and Moslin will be rich and these demand of customers will encourage and motivate the village weavers to work more on these fabrics and thus they can make their livelihood sustained. Also, this sustained partnership will help France to work on different motif of fashion and build their fashion work more creative to the whole world. Therefore, exporting Jamdani and Moslin can make a sustainable development for both of these countries.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

For implementing this idea financing source is very much important. Bangladesh government is always in support of  making more use of our traditional goods. Therefore, to generate this idea a capitalization source can be Bangladesh government. Also, Bangladeshi banks give loan on fashion industry with a few interest, so it will be very easy to implement this idea.

However, implementing this idea is not the end- making it sustainable is far more important. Bangladesh is one of the top most countries in garments industry. Therefore, taking help or having a support of garments industries make this idea more sustainable because through garments industry this idea can get more buyers for exporting and also fulfills its goal by creating more job in this industry and through job market village weavers can get chance on working garments industry and make their life more developed.
