As earlier mentioned, Auxylox Silk paint a washable rubber paint formulated from accurate combination of Texanol, Titanium, Acrylic and other viable raw materials. It's designed to give your house the aesthetic and enduring beauty. Auxylox Oil Paint is an innovation to a fast-drying and rust resistant oil produced from original raw materials. Auxylox Silk and Oil paints have wide range of coverage thereby saving money for the consumers. Where three drums of Auxylox Silk are used, eleven drums of emulsion will be used. When the wall containing Silk is stained, it's easily washed off than spending money to repaint the wall. The Oil Paint dries within 1-2 minutes of application hence the innovative incorporation of fast drying agent.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
To ensure sustainability of these ideas, extensive research has been carried out to ensure reliable, durable and affordable products are born out of the ideas. By the time these ideas are accepted and adequately funded, have capacity to engage many unemployed youths through direct employment and empowerment for self sufficiency. The ideas will address the problem of poverty, hunger, unemployment, ever rising criminalities amongst the youth and lots more.Goal no.3,will be expressly addressed because a wealthy man is a healthy man.Goal no.7 is well captured here as its low cost and affordable tags are veritable tools for sustainable development. Currently Silk paint is selling at #22,000 naira/$64.7 US dollars per 20litres (drum) while Oil Paint is selling at #3500-6000 naira per 4litres. After cost analysis and providing for other contingencies, Auxylox Silk will be sold at #14,280 naira/$42 US dollars per 20litres drum while the Oil Paint will be sold at #2000 naira per 4litres or $5.88 US dollars. The expected profit margin is quite encouraging and sustaining. As environmental friendly formulation, the products have the potential of tackling and promoting Goal no.9 Industry, Innovation and infrastructural development, Goal no 10 Reduction of inequality, Goal no12 Responsible consumption and production, Goal 13 Climate action, Goal 16 Peace, justice and strong institution. It's pertinent to mention that these hopeful products, have been used by local painters and welders. The quality and durability were confirmed by the local users who kept asking for more. If given adequate financial support and publicity, have the ability to add values to Nigerian economy through employment generation, poverty alleviation and revenue boosting.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Having concluded extensive research on the best approach towards sourcing for the raw materials, cordial relationship has been established with Okey Bros. Chemical limited and other companies, in order to realize the dream of producing high quality paints at low cost and affordable rates too. Accessing the raw materials direct from the producers is vital towards achieving sustainability in business. This guarantees original raw materials and cost reduction. The main targets would be contractors, wholesalers, retailers, welders and local painters in order to gain wider and fast acceptability within the shortest possible time. Fliers and samples will be made available to sensitize and create awareness to the public.
One of the challenges in paint production, is procurement of containers. Before now, various prices were sampled from different companies and a better price was secured. Officially, a deposit of 3million as prerequisite to start business with the company. But I offered 400 naira/1.45 US dollars per container to encourage the nascent ideas.
To finance the production, funds would be expected to be raised through personal incomes, contributions from family and friends, loans from banks and grants. Unfortunately, the bank loans which are supposed to be most convenient means of accessing fund, are occasioned with stringent measures which most times unrealistic for beginner like me. However, other avenues of accessing fund will be explored to ensure the dreams come to reality. Through personal savings, one plot of land was secured to site the factory. The following equipments would be procured for succeful take off:
2)Listre generating set
