#MEET FIRST WOMEN'S DRIVING ACADEMY (FiWDA):

This is a short interview we conducted with Rejoice Etornam Foli, the founder of ''FIRST WOMEN'S DRIVING ACADEMY (FiWDA)”. If you like the concept of this idea and would like to vote for it, click HERE.


 

  1. What is your background? (Nationality, age, education, field of work).

I am Rejoice Etornam Foli, (aged 25) from Akome Gbogame in the Ho West District of the Volta Region of Ghana. I got my basic education at Akome and Kpedze after which I proceeded to EP Church Mawuko Girls Senior High School at Ho. I then enrolled at IPMC College of Technology at East Legon in Accra where I am pursuing my advance diploma course in Data Base technology which will qualify me to become a database expert. I am the founder and head of First Women's Driving Academy (FiwDA) since January 2015 to date and I have also worked as an administrator of ATTC Driving School. I am a member of Young African Leaders Initiative, YALI, Network and Rotary Club International.

  1. Describe your idea or project in two sentences.

My idea will provide driving education & training to women in Ghana and then Africa as a whole.

  1. What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

I have expanded my business network.

  1. What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?

I believe entrepreneurship can transform our world.

  1. Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.

I will integrate entrepreneurship into all levels of education, since entrepreneurship can be learned.

  1. What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?

They should vote and make inputs that will improve my idea in transforming the world.

Oh goodness for 25 years old Rejoice, founded of women driving academy, her motivation to be an entrepreneur is the believe that entrepreneurship can transform our world. So true Rejoice and that the vision of the campus competition that is why all of us are in this competition. I appreciate your motivation and I hope it propel you even in times of challenges.

Wao! Driving has before now been seen as a male venture but luckily mant women are into it. Getting ladies to see driving as a career is great . Thank you for the interview campus competition
